This has become my "FUCK DUKE!" thread. Anyway, I'm supposed to contribute more than just "Go Pack!" and "Fuck Duke!" So here goes:

DJ Strawberry's tremendous athleticism is...tremendous. He's the most fun to watch, and I kept worrying he was gonna get hurt or something.

The 29-4 run was amazing. I almost ran out of celebration moves. Almost, but I held it together.

Duke's free throw shooting was PATHETIC. 6-13 against Maryland's 8-8. You can't win a ball game with shit like that.

Maryland's Osby had an awful, awful, awful game. Ibekwe, Gist (THE MAN!!!!), and Vasquez were awesome. Hayes is gonna be interesting to watch in the future. Duke's Paulus sucked it up with 7 turnovers. McRoberts had a great game. Everybody else seemed kinda blah.

I'm totally stoked about Duke's match-up with my BC Warriors!! I know they're the Eagles, but I dubbed them warriors during last year's tourney. I love Tyrese Rice--he's adorable! And Dudley and Marshall (if he's got it together) are kick ass. Heck, I even like the goofy Oates!

I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place here. About the only thing I hate more than Duke is BCU fans and Jared Dudley. Maybe I'll root for Dudley to run into McRoberts and take out Coach K in the process (and of course pray that Paulus stays healthy)??

I suppose we all know BCU will eventually choke in heartbreaking fashion like always down the stretch so I'll pull for them in this game. I mean it's a time tested certainty that if Boston College has a big game in any revenue sport they WILL choke...

btw FSU got absolutely screwed today. The BCU guy literally tackled the FSU player to get the ball on that last possession. It was insane. It's like their making up for the screwjob that BCU got in Chestnut Hill last year against Duke..

** Oh and I like D.J. He seems to be a good kid and I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for Daryl. He was the first athlete I ever followed and cared about. Too bad he screwed it all up but he seems to have done a good job with his son..

Look up what bowls and tell me if they qualify as a big game. They have had NUMEROUS chances to go to BCS bowls over the past 4 years and have choked every time, including this year. I don't consider the Boise bowl or the Charlotte bowl to be 'big games.'

I have read some articles about DJ and it seems that the only way Daryl did a good job with his son was by staying in jail/away. Could be that they have reconciled now, but when he was first entering Maryland, all signs pointed to him not really wanting to be associated with his Dad.
