gaging interest:
Would anyone be interested in *either 1 or 2 tickets to this show?

Depending on interest here and from friends tomorrow I may have 0, 1, or 2 tickets for sale for the Winston Salem show. Too much to explain and it's already a long post. If I have any interest here I will have at least 1 extra for sale but possibly 2. The thing is I probably won't know whether it's one or two until late tomorrow afternoon or maybe not until just before it's time to leave (6:30ish).

I can offer them to 2 different people, meaning if i only end up with 1 for sale then the first person who called dibs goes and the other is out of luck. Or a situation where someone wants both but is content with only getting one ticket.

If you want both but will only take them if you can have both, I can't guarantee that so you need to let me know this.

Tickets will go like this:
first person who wanted both tickets
then
first 2 individuals who called dibs

If I only have one:
The first person who called dibs

And if I find 1 or 2 friends that want them by tomorrow afternoon then they get priority.

The tickets will either be toolarmy presales, so somewhere in the first 6 rows of the floor. Or section 101 row X. That's all the way back in the center. I had almost the same seats (a little close) in Jacksonville and they were amazing seats. it was my 3rd time seeing them and the 2nd of this tour. the first time on this tour I was closer and to the left and the further but center seats were way better. If you want to be able to see and take everything in at once, these are great seats. Not so much if you want to know how many buttons the guys have on their shirts. Which seats will depend on how many tickets I sell. If I sell 2 then I'll probably just sell the floor seats (unless you want the section 101 seats). If it's only 1 ticket then it will probably be section 101, but I may just go ahead and sit with you up front. I wont have the 2 extra tickets until I actually get there, they're at will call.

If you are interested in the tickets let me know ASAP. 60/ticket.

Quote :

in baltimore, security was literally walking through the crowds taking phones and cameras from people. they wouldn't argue with you.. they were mostly just trying to get people to put them away, but if they got their hands on it, it was gone.

maynard actually thanked the crowd for not using flash photography during the show, saying we were one of only a few crowds that seemed to respect that request from them.

wow....just wow....

^definitely agree that song in itself was worth every penny of the show. 10,000 days has never been my most favorite song (even though I liked it alot) but that lazer light show just took that song to a whole other level

Lateralus was another big highlight of the concert for me. Also, I always thought that Vicarious was one my least favorite songs on 10,000 days (even though the song is amazing) but seeing it live was awesome.

I'm a little disapointed that they didn't have an encore but nevertheless the concert was amazing and probably the best concert I've ever been too

holy fuck.

i am still deaf this morning and all i can hear is my ears ringing...but it was totally worth it. best concert by far that i have ever been to and better than the lateralus tour at walnut creek in 2001. now that i've heard stinkfist live i can die happy. at the lateralus show i was too far away to appreciate exactly how much talent and coordination and concentration it takes (although i was aware, you don't get the full effect until you see it up close). i almost had justin's pic that he threw but my bf didn't look behind his cup of beer on the floor and the kid behind me got it. ):

i cannot put into words just how awesome that was for me.

ive been fortunate enough to catch three shows from the 10,000 days tour and last nights show in Winston was them at their best. The set list was great, even though i had seen all the songs (sans flood) on the tour. The extended versions of the songs are all incredible and i would love to have a clear audio recording of them. those guys really make it happen together. great show.

I didnt get to go to W-S, but I would say it would be hard to top the Richmond show. That show was absolutely IN-FUCKING-CREDIBLE. The setlist was very similar except substitute "Flood" with "Pushit"(The Salival Version). And I was on the floor (standing) , not sitting. It was the absolute end-all of concerts.

saw em at bonnaroo, incredibly far back.

I enjoyed the songs i like. schism, lateralus. the rest seemed repetitive, prolly b/c i don't listen to them..

tom morello melted faces.

light show was great, i was pretty high

^does this mean you were one of the people who waited in line for like 5 hours?

i got in that little special section for kings of leon and the roots and there were already people waiting for tool.

setlist? assuming you know the songs they have played every show; did they play right in two, pushit, or flood? any NEW songs they havent been playing?

yes, i knew all of the songs (of course!). as best i can remember it was:

jambi
stinkfist
46&2
schism
lost keys - rosetta stoned
intension - right in two
wings for marie - 10000 days
lateralus
vicarious

no flood no pushit. no new songs. that show was NOTHING compared to the winston-salem show. there was a disconnect b/w the band and the audience in huntington. it was probably a combinations of things including the rowdy, disrespectful audience, the really shitty "arena" it was in (more like a high school auditorium really), and the fact that i had 5th row seat in w-s as compared to about 1/3rd of the way back in general admission. the crowd was scary, i didn't want to push forward to be closer b/c i was too afraid of getting stomped to death.

i would definitely go to another show, it just will not be in west va, kentucky, or ohio (where most of the crowd was from).

yeah, if you had bought the video they were selling at the concert (the gray one w/ the gas mask looking thing on it), you could have gotten it. you might be able to find it on ebay somewhere.

did anyone happen to buy it? anyone going to the few dates left in the states that would get it for me if I forward them the cash?

Speaking of the crowd, I thought it was pretty funny when Maynard was like "You guys got a Hooters here?"; the crowd went fucking crazy; and Maynard said something to the effect of "Who the fuck am I kidding, of course you do." Huntington was a giant turd of a city, but there were some decent bars on 3rd Ave.

I liked this show a bit better than Winston - I actually enjoyed the rowdy energy.
