Anyone else go out last night for the last brouhaha?

They kept running out of beer and running out to convenience stores for cases of pbr from the looks of it.

there's scuttlebutt that they're moving into the building where raleigh music hall/alibi is now and they're going to occupy three stories.

got this info from:
http://www.newraleigh.com/articles/archive/kings-hatem-and-downtown/

it's by no means official. but i do know that they've been trying to find a place to go downtown for a while now.

^ my friend bartends there, they have like 3 shows a week. lots of reggae shows, and lots of frat/sorority functions. it actually stays pretty busy

but yeah if this does happen, it would be great. it seems that raleigh music hall doesn't do a great job of promoting their shows. nor do they get many that i want to see (though they get the occasional good show)

Nick, who used to run alibi, pretty much runs raleigh music hall now (i think it's actually called the downtown event center now), but i heard that he is trying to go back to alibi and renovate it? i haven't heard anything about kings coming in.

yeah i don't know. there are a few people who've said news is coming. and newraleigh has hinted that they knew something too. this is the first on the site that seemed substantial. but again: it's only rumor.
