I went to Cycle Gear today. Great store, helpful people. I really liked their Arai helmets, they fit my head (especially my ears) really well. But no one has really mentioned them at all, any thoughts?

if u wanna spend an arm and a leg sure. that helmet prob costs half of what u got ur bike for. go to team powersports down the street and try on scorpions.

Arai should be about the same as a Shoei in price and safety. Didn't they show you prices at the store? All Arai should be over $400 but they are definitely good helmets.

+1 on the Nighthawk 250 - that's what I learned on and I have no regrets. Honestly I really miss the 70 mpg in town.

So who knew bike places aren't open on Sun and Mon? not this guy. Guess I'll have to wait until Tues to check out those Scorpions

I think I'm gonna get a Dainese jacket, I hear they are supposed to be one of the safest choices. And that scorpion helmet is pretty tempting, that should be a good start for now.
