every single game of ours i have watched, the announcers have made a big deal about costner being a big candidate for FOY

so let it fucking go until the vote happens

The point is, ROY isn't about ALL players in the ACC, it's about ROOKIES.

And Costner is rebounding the ball not only as good as any rookie in the ACC, but is up there with the best in the league.

I gotcha and I retracted my previous post because it was pretty argumentative, and I understand that there are some who go strictly by the numbers and that's fine, but I just think there is more to rebounding than pure statistics, such as how many minutes played guy X gets over guy Y, height, etc...We will just agree to disagree on that one

Caulton Tudor gave Costner no love today in the N&Blow. He said either Wright or Lawson should get ROY and that he has Costner on his all rookie team.

I was tempted to email him and question why he doesn't feel Costner should be up there with Lawson and Wright, but I said fuck it instead.

If it was a MVFOY (most valuable Fresh of Year) award, then Costner would win.

Unfortunately, its like any award these days in popular sports: the team's success (and thus the media attention) has more sway than it probably should.

Like was said earlier, Who CARES? If you arent used to getting the shitstick form the media as an NC State fan, then man up to it already. If it means Costner flies under the radar and doesent go pro early, then that is a good thing for us.

^ I really thought our whole team (except for the seniors) took time off after we got out to an 11 point lead in the first 7 minutes.
They knew they had it in the bag all night and the rest of the game dragged except for Fells' dunk and bitching at that spiky haired ref that has always been quick to fuck us over.

Expect us to pull a Miami/FSU at MD on saturday and save it all for the ACC / NIT tourneys.

They even said it last night that Costner was over looked for Freshman of the year. I think he was but he didn't play for a winning team so they didn't give it to him, plus the fact he played 5 games last year.

^I think that was the main problem. He had significant playing time last year for the first 5 games, so many think it's questionable that he's listed as a freshman anyways. That said, I think he deserved the title.
