randall2's wobble pretty easy. i rode some siesmics a couple of weeks ago, and on a wedge, it was insane. they don't push back like the standard bushing setup.

I've had the opposite feeling about the siesmics, could be I have too soft springs in them though. I really didn't like the feel of them all too much. Can't really say anything about not getting the wobbles though.

if you tighten the randals more then it might not have done that. the geometry alone wobbles less than a standard truck. seismics on the other hand are made mainly for slalom so they will be a lot more wobbly (more with 45 than with 30 degrees though) and the purpose of them is to rebound faster than the standard bushing based trucks

I'm interested. I could use some exposure to more skilled skaters. I stopped learning much new stuff after I could do a basic slide.

I'm not nearly so adept yet, but I'd be up for skating with some more skilled skaters. Hell, I could probably use some tips.

^have a couple of beers to loosen up and take the edge off. You will be more willing to try new tricks and fully commit to them.

But the best thing to do is hangout with people that are better than you.

I'm mostly just coasting down hill getting used to how the board feels. I want to carving and basics mastered, but ya. It's still exhilarating flying down hill.

In excess for sure. Thats how I busted my ass good last time... riding from my car to a friends car in a parking lot. Slick pavement + no inhibitions or sense of sliding =

If anyone is interested in making decks I think I'm gonna try. If you want to come watch/help/drink beers just respond whenever I post that I have the materials. I need wood veneer at least. Already have glass, epoxy, and bagging materials.

^^^ I would also be interested in how that comes out too

Here is one that i made this past summer: Good idea, but not so good execution and materials

Its 5-ply Birch plywood

about 60" long X 11" wide
Exkate torsion trucks

actually is pretty fun to ride, those torsion trucks make it turn within a 7ft radius! (wheelbite)

but if i do it again ill make it skinnier and put Randals on it

I need someone to brave the freebord with me. I dont ride that shit alone cus when I die I want someone there to assist me. Its so much harder than it seems. I have years of skating exp, and years of snowboarding exp. But nothing prepares you for "catching edge" on concrete.

I did some skating over at UNCC this weekend. Their campus is lots of fun. There are steep hills like Centennial, but they connect to flat parts and minor hills where you can carve to keep rolling at a decent speed. I damn near killed myself when the board started speed wobbling down one of the hills.

what kinda skating are you guys doing most of the time? I gave up my street days. All I have is the freebord and It can only be ridden on hills, so if some good ole fashion hill skating is going on I'm game.

Have you ever had a run-in with campus police while skating the decks? I was all eager to go coasting into the depths of the underground deck when I noticed the "No skating within 50 ft of this building" sign. I've skated down the asphalt of most of the hills, and I've never gotten a stern talking to, but I imagine their opinions my differ some when it comes to the structures over there.

I've not had a problem up in the top of the centennial decks nor anywhere on asphalt... But then again I've not really 'run in' to any cops.

The deck would be good for the freebord. Wanna roll out this afternoon?

North hills would be too but you'd have to be real good on it I think... Pretty steep in spots and you gotta be in control when you encounter traffic.
