just out of curiosity . . . what league is this and what is the team name? i played last summer in the Central Carolina Mens Senior Baseball League, or something to that effect, on the Black Sox Baseball Club. i had a blast and while the competition is very intense a lot of guys don't take themselves too seriously which makes it that much more enjoyable.

I know someone who is in the process of trying to put a league together in the area. The ages would be 18 and up, I know that there is one league around but you have to be 25 or older. But the guy told me that he is hoping to get as many teams as he can around here, chapel hill durham area, and maybe even down to fayetteville nc. He said that he is going to have a website up with all the info prob by next week or so over on NABA.com or something. Not sure when it will start play but if anyone wants some contact info PM me and I will give it to you, i know he is looking for some guys that would be willing to head up a few teams.

^ National Association of Buyers Agents?

Tell him I'll play, but I'm not coaching. If anyone needs pitching, I'm a 6'0 righthander, 85-87 Fastball, Good curve, decent slider, wicked changeup. Any more info, message me.

thats all i can find so far, its a greensboro one though

im about 5'10" wicked curve, fastball is just my setup pitch and had at one point a pretty decent knuckle, im a junkballer basically but can hold my own with good placement.

id love to get in a league and know a few guys up here that would be GREAT additions

I'm a hoss... 6'2" outfielder with the speed of a cheetah. I can throw a no hopper from the warning track to the plate with deadly accuracy. I hit homeruns more often than I single and I have never once struck out. Walking is not my thing either... whenever someone decides to intentionally walk me because of my deadly offensive prowess, I step over the plate and knock the fucking pitch out of the park that's what I do. I'm not to be toyed with.

Okay fellas, I got the league all set up. I am going to start putting ads out in the paper and so on. I need some help spreading the word about the league, I will be getting some flyers in the next few days from the NABA home office and I am going to start putting those out. If you would like to help let me know, it would be much appreciated.

My goal is to have everything up and running and start play by June. I am hoping to have a 20 to 30 game schedule atleast, with a playoff system and a end of the year all-star game that the players will vote on who plays in it. Along with this you can also enter tournaments nation wide in places like Florida and Arizona spring training camps. It will be a wooden bat league for the ages 18 and up. I am also going to try to get nice fields, such as high school fields for us to play on. The games will be on weekends. I would love to do Sat/Sun games playing 9 innings.

Like I said if anyone wants to help go to this website http://eteamz.active.com/nabanational/index.cfm?subsite=4235037 and then contact me it would be great, I know yall said that the site is dead but it should work, just keep trying it if it doesn't.

how competitive is this league? I'm a decent player and can hit pitches in the 60s and 70s range but quickly become 1/10 in the 80s and 90s...

^ the league doesnt exist yet.

the league I played in this past summer was mostly 80's. Some 90's. It was a very low-scoring league.

Just email your contact info to the contact info on the web. It is hard to tell how tough the competition will be, I am sure there will be individuals that are going to be tougher than others, but hopefully it will be very balanced. Or you can just PM me your contact info and I will take care of it.

Adult Men’s Fall Baseball Registration
The Athletic Division will be holding registration for Adult Men’s Baseball from Monday, August 13th. Registration cost is $400 per team with a non-City resident fee of $24 per player. Registration will be held from 8:30am – 6:00pm at 2401 Wade Avenue. There is only space for the first eight teams to register. Play to begin the week of September 3rd.

I am going to try and put a GOOD team together. If anyone wants to play, we can get together one day soon in the next couple of weeks and start working out on the field. Last year our team was 8-3, and we came in 3rd. Gotta do better than that.
