my bad, i thought you were just listing NC schools they would beat, not all the schools they would beat.... and don't write off JMU as a cakewalk for them, if Butch hasn't completely turned around their team by the start of the season JMU could give them a run for their money
oh yeah...164

Speaking of Butch Davis, I hope that the chemotherapy goes well for him. I do admit though that I would be happy if he tripped and fell flat on his face during the first time that their team runs out of their tunnel.
Did you all see Tom O'Brien's anti-smoking commercial that was being played during the ACC Tournament? I thought it was good that he was getting some exposure down here, and plus it showed of our stadium. This is good for catching the attention of players that may not have considered State before. Maybe him and Sid after winning a bunch in the next two years or so can get national television spots like Pat Summit, Coach K, and Roy Williams. 3/21/2007 1:51:30 PM |

163 days left. post some of your favorite pics of State football, tailgating (especially the Trinity Lot), fans, sloots in sundresses, fans shotgunning beers, beer pong, cornhole, Carter-Finley Stadium, Tom O'Brien, etc.
What would your perfect tailgate/gameday be like?
Mine, wake a little earlier than normal. Gather up the friends from their hungover slumber from Friday night. Go buy beer at the grocery store. Depending on time, either get some food to put on the grill or buy the tailgate package from the Bojangle's on Western. Arrive in the Trinity lot and park with in a few spots of the trash bin, and within a 30 second walk from the porta-potty. Preferably get a spot underneath one of the trees. Crack open a beer and down it in a < 5 minute period, then go into a normal drinking mode of finishing off a beer every 30-45 minutes, while eating up some good food. Call up some friends that I know are going to the game and meet up with them for a few minutes. Head to the gates to fight the line to get into the stadium. Hide two airplane bottles of Bacardi in the waistband of my boxers. Find seats. Head back up to concessions to grab a coke. Take coke into bathroom and mix in rum. Go back to seat just in time for the team to head out of the Murphy Center. Yell head off for 1st half. Get another coke at half-time and proceed to go to bathroom again and mix in rum. Yell till hoarseness sets in (which is harder to do now, i think i really built up my vocal cords over the years), in the second half. Pack win. Go back home take in today's scores, shower and change. Go to party or bar with friends. Go home with a fine girl (wished this scenario would have played out more often. ). 3/22/2007 12:26:34 AM |

Obviously I'm joking. More of those plants that have the red flowers that blossom need to be planted along Trinity Road. I want some more red lining our road to the football and basketball palaces, haha. I still say we need live wolves on each side of the visitors' tunnel. Once we get some live wolves, BCS Championship game here we come. 3/25/2007 10:38:16 PM |

Quote : | "20. NC State – Marcus Stone began 2006 as the starter, but he’s now a tight end, leaving junior Daniel Evans, sophomore Harrison Beck and redshirt freshman Justin Burke to battle it out to see who’ll be Tom O’Brien’s first quarterback in Raleigh. Evans looked like the future for the Pack after engineering upsets of O’Brien’s Eagles and Florida State, but regressed badly down the stretch. While he doesn’t have a cannon, his maturity and leadership skills could be a nice match with Dana Bible and the basic pro-style offense. Remember Beck? He was the original Mitch Mustain whose quick exit from Nebraska was accompanied by some ridiculously inane comments from his mom. Assuming he’s matured, Beck has the best skill set of any State quarterback, and is someone the program can build around for the next three years. Burke will likely open at third string, but should not be taken lightly. The former record-setting quarterback from Kentucky was one of the most coveted pocket passer of the Class of 2006. Prediction: Beck" |
From scout.com
TOB's thought on the quarterback situation I think all three kids are working hard... [Daniel Evans] has got the advantage, he's played and he's been in games.
He's using that to his advantage right now. The two kids are competing. We won't be able to make a decision probably until we get to game week in August.

62. NC State 2006 Record: 3-9 If nothing else, new head man Tom O'Brien will get the team playing more consistently. If QB Daniel Evans is as strong for the first 58 minutes as he is in the 4/8/2007 5:11:45 PM |

144 days left till we can expect Rock Star energy drink reps to be passing out free cans. Do any of you remember the crazy religious people that were at a game a year or two ago and had huge signs and were yelling stuff? I believe they were the same ones that were in the Brickyard with the signs that said "You are all going to Hell!" and stuff like that. I remember a redneck mooned them all, and yelled kiss my ass when they were in the Brickyard. People also didn't take to kindly to them when they were out in the Carter-Finley lots. Hopefully we won't be seeing them again anytime soon. Why is the far end of the Trinity lot always empty? 4/9/2007 4:10:26 PM |
