This is just another wet blanket thread, I see. A place to cry and vent.

This thread was made to reassure everyone that NC State was the true #2 team in the ACC this year.

Not only did we prove that by beating 3 NCAA tournament teams in 3 days during the ACC tournament and coming within a minute and a half of upsetting UNC on the fourth day, but we then had to travel to Drexel (a tournament snub) on the sixth day and beat them and beat Marist at home (who previously beat Ok St at Stillwater) on the ninth day. That's 6 games, 5-1, in nine days, on 5 and a half pairs of legs.

So while everybody else in the ACC is sucking it up, we're doing our damn best to represent.

good call, and lest we forget that marist was on the super bubble

BUT, it leads me to wonder where was all this in the regular season?

sure they got up for unc both times and vt both times

Yeah...but I hardly count those. Early exits only hurt the team when they are unexpected, because they leave scholarship voids that the coach has to rush and fill with players that aren't normally as highly regarded or fit the needs of the team specifically.

I'm pretty sure Williams and Boozer graduated in three years, and I think Dunleavy leaving after his junior year was also a foregone conclusion.

^^We're just now peaking as a team. Had Atsur been healthy all year, we would have had this fluidity and camaraderie going into the ACC season, not the end of the season.

^Shit what about not even showing up at FSU/Maryland/Miami????

But still it has been a successful season no matter tomorrow's outcome.

We're on a redemption tour. Next is WV, then FSU, then Clemson

^^nobodys saying we would be undefeated-3 or 4 losses. we would have just been a solid tournament team and probably 2nd in the acc (well somewhere in the logjam in front of duke and georgia tech)

I think if we had Atsur all year we would have finished 5th behind BC.

All the more reason South Carolina shouldn't have left the ACC.... they would have fit right in

Nah, I would rather have NCSU in the tourney with us over any other ACC school since I honestly believe you too would still be alive going into the sweet 16 with us. Oh well, for another year. You can resume calling me a Carolina fag and whatnot now
