<--- seriously disappointed.
camry nose
somehow mazda 3 silhouette and glass area on the 5-door without being anywhere near as sexy
tribeca butt and fenders
and looking at the front 3/4 pic of the gray sedan, a lot of chevy aveo in the sills and door cross section.....

just not at all a good looking car. what the hell

So it's available as a sedan and a wagon (kinda like the current gen eh), so what's new? It's not like the WRX ever looked that good to begin with...

new tribeca... wow, from the front, it looks totally american, esp the grille and headlights. (doesn't some ford look exactly like that from the front? can't remember its name. or is it the hyundai santa fe) but still, that grill looks 10,000x better than the imprezza's.

why the hell can't they have a corporate grill??? what really fucks it up for the imprezza, is that there is no gap between the headlights and the grill, as there is in the new tribeca's. even if they kept the same grill on the new imprezza, but introduced a gap on either side, it would look so much better.

and the taillights of the tribeca remind me of the buick enclave... must have been designed completely in the US.

wow, is the tribeca a blatant copy or what???

yeah but put the current tribecka up there...
i could see how it would evolve to that

the impreza on the other hand...

btw who would intentionally copy Buick anyway.

^ actually, after realizing that there is a sedan too, and seeing it, you can easily see that it looks pretty much like the current wrx.

more released pics:

http://www.worldcarfans.com/news.cfm/country/jcf/newsID/2070403.001/subaru/all-new-subaru-impreza-and-impreza-wrx-revealed

for some reason, there are still no pics of the sedan's behind

compare:

not much has been changed except the grill.

but be honest, which one would you rather have, looking at those 2 pics?

.... this thread isn't discussing your car or anything related.
if someone was interested in your car they would start an EVO X thread maybe.

I don't know it just happens all the time i think every subaru thread i've seen you've posted about your evo in (or someone about their evo)

[Edited on April 3, 2007 at 1:33 PM. Reason : mehh you've only done it twice there is another evo guy that does it too.]

that looks nothing like the back of a suzuki. the tail lights are totally different. the spoilers are different, the subaru doesn't have the lines in the bumper.

they both have a rear window, and the license plate on the truck, but so do most other cars on the road.

if anything it looks like a toyota echo, but certainly not as ugly as that suzuki crap.
although it looks less like a toyota echo than the earlier models did (the bug eyes ones looked almost exactly like an echo, except bigger)

simple...

it means all the exhaust starts in one pipe and then splits into 2 the split causes more harm then good in most cases you could just up size the pipe by 3/4" and have equal or better flow from a single exhaust

Evo X & WRX STi FACE OFF!!!!

http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?section_id=31&article_id=5211

Speculation:

Both will have about 320 hp and 320 lb-ft
0-60 in 4.5 for both
1/4 mile in 12.5 for both
Price about 32,000-35,000 for both

And some illustrations:

Impreza S-GT (Impreza WRX in the US) goes on sale in Japan not with the 224 hp 2.5 litre engine, but with a 2 litre 250 hp engine:

depends on the weight... i think the hatch is lighter.

i found a company that puts 07 sti driveline in GC8 models ( pre wrx body style)
and you come out with a wider shorter 700lb lighter car.
sounds like a sweet deal to me!

let me qualify

it makes a wide body (fender massaging required) GC8 that is shorter (possibly even 2 door!) than the 07 model
and 5-7 hundred lbs lighter.
and then you can ask for the carbon wide body setup!

First Drive: 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX (JDM version)

Quote :
"The Japanese-spec car we drove at Tochigi featured our local turbocharged 2.0-liter boxer-4, which generates 248 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 246 pound-feet of torque at 2,400 rpm."

Click and read.

Some new pics which make it look good. Judging from the pics, STi should look very good. Ricer tail lights would look a LOT BETTER if they were greyed out, and not clear.
