Im well aware football makes more money for a good number of schools. But here, in North Carolina, I would dare say more people care about college bball. Plus, its more exciting.

before coming to school, i was really not a fan of basketball. i had spent the last 4 years in pennsylvania, so my chances to watch state were few and far between. i went to games b/c i love state more than life itself, but was only into it for that reason.

but after this season, i'm just waiting for football season to end. maybe it's only b/c of the hype for next year, who knows. i think it's sidney lowe making it exciting more than anything, b/c i definitely was not this excited after my first year with herb.

lunardi hasnt overrated us in the past like this at all, whether preseason or midseason bracketology.

Whats the difference now? Sid. He's a media darling already and thats worth a TON.

Im just looking forward to not having to hear the "well herb got yall to 5 striaght NCAAs and ya done him like that, eh?!?". Sheeeit, how many years were we hyped like this in the preseason in recent memory? Its a fact that higher preseason ranking = better chance of making the tourney when all is said and done. And Sid hasnt even really begun to bring in the talent he is capable of

heh. it's so fun going back and reading stuff like this. not picking on simonn at all because i said the exact same things. just wild to see how quickly things change.
