^Not to start a UNC/NCSU debate, but they lose a star to the NBA and gain no recruits, we lose engin and gain practically a top ten recruiting class...we did beat them and gave them a run in the ACC CHAMP game...how is that not the same level yet?

Yeah, how many wide open dunks did he have? six? seven? We were too scared to challenge him because of his size and our lack of depth with big guys. Both of those situations have been alleviated this year. Beware: Hansbro will go ape shit and the refs will slobber over him. Get ready to see him travel like crazy and get bullshit touch fouls every time he goes up and get away with it time and time again.....

UNC: 31-7 with an NCAA Elite 8 appearance

NCSU: 20-16 with an NIT Elite 8 appearance

It doesn't matter what the head to head results are, VT swept UNC, and they weren't on UNC's level.

The difference is depth, quality depth that is. We will have young Frosh depth, they will have soph and junior depth. Did you watch Deon Thompson play against G Town in the tournament, kid will make a great replacement for Wright, not Wright's length, but will be solid. And I expect Roy to petition Swofford (former UNC AD FYI) and for Hansbrough to get many more calls as he did his frosh year. You have to admit that this season, although he got a lot of calls, not near as many as his frosh season (even if he was 20 before he ever played a game). Also, don't underestimate what Engin meant to our program. If we split with them next season, I'll be happy. Also, UNC wasn't the only team to outrebound us.
