hockeyroman, I had an orthodontist tell me the only way to move my teeth was to implant screws into my jawbone. It's the only way to exert any force, you know, newton's 3rd law and all!
Funny, he was the only one out of four whose treatment plans included screws/anchorages other than other teeth.
It's not Vinson in Clayton, is it? 3/14/2010 11:22:56 PM |

So I had a root canal done and it wasn't successful (infection still present). The endodontist who did the work took x-rays and says I still have infection around 2 of the 3 root tips of the molar, and he wants to do surgery to remove the tips (aka source of the infection), seal them, and sew it all back up, as a last effort to save the tooth. He says the chance of success is around 80%. Sound reasonable? I'm wondering if this endodontist is the best candidate to do the work versus an "oral surgeon"...don't know if there's actually a difference. 8/29/2016 10:40:44 PM |
