What the hell you talking about mang? The old FJR's are totally a purist's machine. Long, low, and lean. No frills.

Not big on the colors, but that's from the era I speak of. Sport/touring wasn't even heard of back then.

what's the issue with a goldwing? stigma or is it just way too much cruiser and not enough sport? my couison went from a cbxx to a goldwing. he was surprised at how it handled enough to buy it when he felt how comfortable it was.

[Edited on April 25, 2007 at 9:26 AM. Reason : he did go right back to a supersport though]

I always kinda figured that when I was considering getting a Gold Wing, I'd either shoot myself or buy a Volkswagon.

we had a fully decked out one in dad's shop before, and a 1/2 ton motorcyle jack wouldn't lift it, they even have a special engine guard that keeps it from falling over more than 45 degrees, because one person can't pick it back up, and an electric reverse that runs off the starter, just too damn big and bulky, i want light, nimble, fast, and comfortable

That said, go with the FJR or a BMW.

i would ask wlfpk4evr's opinion on this. he seems to be pretty knowledgable. look at a yz250 also. it's a pretty comparable bike, i'm sure that's what he would reccomend.

The 4 stroke ones, not the 2 strokers.
