People buy cars for different reasons. Who gives a flying FUCK how much god damn cargo space a car has? Shut the fuck up already......pansy asses. People buy X5's because they like them, and they aren't some gay ass dent resistant joomobile's."

Who said anything about cargo space? People buy X5's because they want OTHER people to like them. Same reason most guys spend shit wads of money on cars. It's not the car, it's the attention the car garners.

It's fun beatin my dick in the morning too, I don't call that a hobby.

I have no problem with people buying shitty luxury vehicles, or supercars. I do have a problem with people who buy them and try to say it was for some reason other than showing off.

its hardly showing off if lots of people drive them, i like "shitty" luxury cars because they are more comfortable and more fun to drive. the seats in the saturn suck and its one of the most numb, boring driving experiences ive ever had.

lots of women buy Coach purses and every married woman worth a damn wears a diamond ring. To SHOW OFF.

Rarity doesn't make a damn bit of difference. The fact you don't even comprehend what I'm saying really speaks for itself. Some people like flashy shit, some are more pragmatic, and a few people recognize the difference.

BMW X6 to come out soon.

That will basically be a cross between the X5 and the M6.

2 bucket seats at back. Shaped more like the Infiniti F45, with a really low rounded back/roof.

Just an FYI.

Clearest spy shots of the X6. Curious looking vehicle. Wonder if there is much demand for something like this, with severely compromised rear head room and cargo space.

Well i can tell you I have seen some X6's in person, and they look good...real good if you ask me, but yea the market will be much smaller than that of the X5.

Reid,

my dad had two X5s, both with the 3.0 (he was taking advantage of the self employed/GVW>6k tax break...turned a profit on the first one, and i'm sure broke even or maybe turned a profit on the 2nd one).

as soon as the tax law was no longer so advantageous that he could drive an X5 for free, he ditched it and bought a 530i.

I drove both of them (along with his E46 330i, Z3 2.8, E60 530i, and my old E46 330ci), and here's what it boils down to:

PRO:

it's the BMW of SUVs

CON:

it's the SUV of BMWs

if you have some use for a crossover-type SUV, it's a really nice one. I can't figure out why in the hell 99% of people would buy one, though, especially those living in SC with no snow (and even then, i'd just get an AWD 5-series sedan or something else, unless i thought the snow would be too deep...and then i'd prob get a no-shit 4x4 truck).
