You know, maybe the reason that the statistical distribution of races in general does not mirror the distribution in some given activity is simply because the races are different. Naw, its gotta be oppression, that's why it is clear that the NBA hates white people.

I would say that it has more to do where the person grew up than their race. (Although race and location do have some correlation )

What concerns me is the irrational, although well-intentioned, desire to eliminate these differences through government regulation etc... These programs of reverse racism and other quota systems only serve to
steal the credibility of those individuals in minority groups who do succeed. Just level the playing field, don't try to directly mess with the statistics through racial and gender quota systems. If you really
believe in the equality of different types of humans then there is no need to help certain groups out. It will take time for the change to happen, but its worth it to avoid the discrimination that necessarily is coupled to quotas and affirmative action.
