Reasons why APPLE TV SUCKS BALLS.
1. only play up to 720p
2. Content has to be in certain formats to play on the Apple TV (xbox or media center will play anything)
3. Supports less file formats than itunes (downgrade)
4. similar copyright issues as an ipod
5. Got a piece of shit Go 7300 in it.
6. have to pay 300$+ for a small HD
7. No expansion options after the HD fills up
8. Dolby Digital 5.1 support sucks
9. HD support sucks
10. NO BUILT IN DVR????????
11. No on/off button (system is known to get hot, because you can't shut it off)
12. it's apple

What do you say about all that? AppleTV SUCKS compared to the competition (other tv tuners etc). You have to argue AGAINST me to have a legit argument. Else you're just advertising for apple.

I have a 24 inch lcd, plus a 20.1 inch lcd, and i can run a 1080p hd video on each desktop as the background. 3-4 ADDITIONAL hd videos in windows, and another HD 1080i broadcast through my HD tv tuner. ALL AT THE SAME TIME. Try that on your shitty apple. Can't do it. Not to mention they all hold thier respective fps.

Plus i can pause, fast forward, and rewind HD content. Also i can play every single video format out there. The appletv can't do jack compared to what i can do.

You're missing my point again Malice. Argue WITH ME, not in a different dimension as me. I posted my list of why appletv sucks. You're supposed to reply to that, and tell me why it doesn't suck. Don't give me apple.com references, and don't post bullshit. Give me technical specifications that arn't from the apple site, that you came up with on your own. To get HD you need a time warner HD Box, those have DVR in them.

Get the apple tv and you can run stuff from your Mac Pro or MacBook to your tv WIRELESSLY

It doesn't have the required codec/software/decoder to play the video. Apple only allows videos THEY sell to be played on a apple tv. It's a big scam.

Apple only allows thier hardware to play a very very small percentage of the video out there. They only allow it to play what they sell usually. You can convert it yourself to that format, but it's a hassle.

My mom spent 3 grand on a mac book pro, and it sucks compared to her 4 year old pentium 4 pc. She's so much more productive with the pc.

I never said anything i did was illegal. All i'm doing is bringing up some points i read about the appletv on the apple website. I put them in a simple format (list) and asked malice to dispute them. He didn't really address a single issue, and all he did was provide me with http://www.apple.com links and say "apple rules". Atleast i'm providing a slightly legit argument.
