abused? haha you call you abuse? thats too funny. If I were up against a respectable opponent in a real debate i'd have plenty of sources to site. But since you are not respectable or worth anyones time, i'll just say my bit in a thread and ignore you.

but of course if I knew you IRL i'd just tell you to come and check out my little library of books and you can read and learn for yourself.

Oh and of course any source i sight you'll just attack the author and come up with some B.S. about how they aren't a creditable source. This is the way of the soap box.

Why even post in a thread if you think you're above everyone else in terms of intelligence?

So if I were to summarzie those 76 words and 2 paragraphs, it would be "I don't really have any sources or I'd post them "

Is this a fair statement?

Credibility? Your claim to fame is surviving off your relatives money while bragging about it and you fucked a neurotic chick for awhile that celebrated her raping on this very message board. You have no education to speak of, and you worked at Best Buy as a peon for awhile. If you're going to bring credibility into this, especially after all I asked were some sources and you have yet to provide them, you better make sure you aren't some blowhard with a keyboard.

Just post the damn sources and we'll go from there. Stop crying like a big whiny baby.

EL OH EL...you sir are so full of bullshit, its funny.

and as far as sources...lets start with some small ones that you might comprehend, fucktard.

KobraII
Chasing Ghosts
Last True Story I'll Ever Tell
Inside the Wire

thats just to name a few...although i'm sure you haven't read a single one or even heard of a single one, since well you can't read anything that doesn't show up on your screen with a mouse click.

You know nothing about me, my family, or who I am. All you know is what people like you make up on this website. GG. I guess you apply the same principles to other real life situations, which makes you a delusional moron. As far as 'peon', anyone except CEO's or business owners are 'peons'...but since I'm a business owner, i've been promoted from the term peon, which you still fall under. GG again.

Do you really think anything you say really does effect me or anyone else? You aren't even a memory when i click the little X in the corner of my browser. Hell I didn't even know you exist until you just posted in this thread. lol. and you'll be forgotten by the time I hit "Post Reply!". But to amuse you, i'll post reply anyway.

^^you too huh? haha. I don't think i'm above anyone, but I do know what dumbasses I should ignore or humor if i'm in the mood with instigating responses. This IS my thread.

More than one person I know that has met you and had the misfortune to be in your presence for more than a few minutes has confirmed you are the same whiny spoiled annoying little bitch in real life that your come across as being in here.

I also think it is sad that it was a pull teeth effort to get you to reveal sources when most people are happy to provide them to support their arguments. I guess you assume everyone will think you're smart for doing a little googling for some book titles to post in here. We aren't fooled.

and as far as sources go, that is the exact response I expected from a low-life like you. thanks for being predictable.

^not unless he owns the business. Have you ever had to use a plumber? I'm sure they make good money if they are in business for themselves. damn rip-off.

well hey, you are right. They buy me everything, they bought my beach house, my porsche, my 60" plasma 1080p TV which i'm really proud of. As long as I still live with my parents, its ok that they buy me things, cause i am under their roof. Its not so bad since they gave me the East wing all to myself, so its like I live alone anyway. Chicks dig it. Continue to be jealous.

Not sure which ex-girlfriend you are referring to...I don't recall dating anyone that was a red headed step child (isn't that a bit odd if she's my step child?) slut or abomination of a raped blah blah whatever it is you are trying to say. I usually go by peoples names. kthx

So anyway, where to next? Since you follow me from thread to thread, should i tell you which thread I'll be in next or are you going to hit refresh all day until you see my name pop up some where?

Personally, I find this really interesting.

I wouldn't have thought this type of job can be outsourced but kudos to someone for experimenting with it. Who knows, it might prove to be successful and really squeeze the costs of publishing.

Outsourcing is such an intriguing topic to me, I think we're going to see a lot more industries continue to follow suit particularly since India churns out some very intelligent and hardworking people.

This article should definitely be a wakeup call for anyone with limited skills. There is going to be some serious money to be made in our generation for the people who can successfully transition from career to career.

Yeah, the rest of the world is not going to stay poor forever. We're going to have to adjust to that, this is just the beginning.

Well the great thing about wealth is that it can be created.

Wealth does not have to just be transferred from one person to another (although it can be).

Just because India's wealth is growing rapidly does not mean that is a bad thing for us. Quite the contrary, as our economy as a whole is benefitting a lot from our exchange of goods/services with India.

Just to put things into context our GDP is still 15x (1,500%) larger than India's despite massive population size differences.

The only people who stand to lose from outsourcing are the ones who stubbornly refuse to learn new job skills as our domestic manufacturing/services skill requirements change within the industry.

For all the talk of "losing" manufacturing jobs you wouldn't realize American manufacturing is stronger than ever and that the average manufacturing job pays more than ever because the production is more specialized and requires more skilled labor.

China happens to be losing manufacturing jobs at a faster rate right now than the USA ever has.

When the North lost all of its shitty manufacturing jobs to the South (due to cheap slave labor) the North flourished by switching industries.

Hmm, 20 chinese kids doing one stitch versus 1 american doing 20 different stitches, for 5x the pay. China losing more mfg jobs is a weightless statement.

How do you define weightless?

China is losing manufacturing jobs at a faster rate than the USA ever has.

That is a fact.

Manufacturing jobs are disappearing period because of technological advances.

Also, China's labor costs have risen fairly rapidly and now they are losing a large percentage of their manufacturing jobs to other lower cost nations (places like Bangladesh).

Don't argue with people on things that you are incorrect about.

I wasn't incorrect about anything, that statement in the context of your argument didn't mean anything. I was taking issue with it.

The point was that manufacturing jobs are disappearing period. We aren't the only country to lose manufacturing jobs. Technology is replacing many of these jobs.

China is losing them faster right this minute than we as a country ever experienced. This is only partially due to the fact they are losing them to other nations.

Its a race to the bottom and China is no longer the bottom.

Usually losing shitty manufacturing jobs is a sign of forthcoming economic prosperity because it frees up resources to devote to an industry where you hold a comparative advantage.

That's just not correct most of the time, and everybody knows it.

Are you saying all the jobs that have been outsourced so far to India are because locals didn't bother learning the skills of those jobs?

What skills are those? Technical support over the phone? Programming? And now, REPORTING? Don't you think there are a lot of locals who can do those jobs? And it was locals who were doing them in the first place, before they (the jobs) were shipped abroad.

You know why jobs are outsourced, right? Not because you couldn't find someone locally to do them (does happen, but rare), but because it is cheaper to find someone else to do them. From the link in the first post:

Quote :
"Projected annual cost: $20,800 for the pair. Not bad wages for an Indian journalist and cheap by U.S. standards, especially if each one produces the expected 15 weekly articles."

I don't have an opinion in favor of or against outsourcing, but at least, know the main reason why it is done.

Outsourcing is done to save money. No shit.

Where in the hell did I imply anything else?

Quote :

Yes, it is correct and most educated people who are well versed in economics know it.

When India agrees to take our crap jobs and do them cheaply it allows our businesses to operate at a lower cost. In turn this gives Americans cheaper services. That's good for Americans. It also frees up resources to devote to more specialized services.

Take tax returns for instance. A shitload of accounting work is being outsourced to India. Is this bad for accountants? Not really. Now they have more time to do real accounting work instead of wasting it on simple data entry. India does the easy labor so now our accountants can focus on more difficult tasks like discovering tax breaks or navigating through difficult tax law interpretations.
Good accountants stand to make a lot more money since their time is now being used more efficiently.

The more jobs we outsource the better overall for our economy. There's a reason the jobs are being outsourced after all.

This is the reason the Soap Box and TWW in general isn't a very productive forum. People with limited knowledge on a subject like to argue with people who have extensive knowledge on a subject. As a rule of thumb, when you don't know much about a topic you will learn much more by reading/listening and asking questions rather than making illogical statements, false assumptions, etc and being labelled uneducated by your peers.

I'm not saying he is dumb, most of those statements would be reserved for you. I just think it is funny that he popped up in the soap box not so long ago with the new knowledge of some econ classes, and gets pissy at the same old tired stuff that has been killing the soap box for a while now. You aren't helping this section, go away.

Flawed logic.

By conservative estimates, the ratio of people in the US living below the poverty line is about 15%. Why then do they choose to remain poor instead of working at min. wage just like the illegals?

Another thing -- business follows the strict doctrine of value. Of course, labor is cheaper where it's abundant in supply, which means that the value of the work is also reduced. As a business, I want to maximize value throughout the chain, which means that the mundane and disposable stuff would goto the lowest bidder.

You can say that the same low value work was being done in the US at a higher rate before, so why not now? Because, thanks to globalization, I am able to tap the global labor market and optimize my value chain. It's all about value. Also, it's not that this offshoring/outsourcing is hurting the economy. More value across the chain means greater scope for innovation, meaning better sustainability when it comes to cutting edge production/delivery. Besides, learning is part of living. I would say that the only people crying about offshoring are the same people who didn't bother to keep up with evolving skill requirements. If you know anyone who has worked at IBM for >5 years, you know what I am talking about.

Results can be seen in the stock market, which has outperformed every other investment vehicle by a great margin over the years. Offshoring is good for the economy.
