well im sure you do what you do to piss people off, if you lived on an island by yourself im pretty sure after a while you'd stop doing that. and all manson does is make it more acceptable for other kids to do the same thing and feel accepted somewhere and thats not right. its like if you fell into a ditch instead of trying to climb out you just stay there cause theres other people in the ditch with you. manson draws people into the ditch with the only confort or benefit being that you'll be accepted in that crowd. i think if you're different in real life you should be accepted just the way you are, you shouldnt have to dress up like halloween to fit into a crowd.

I think he does it for the shock value, and to piss off people like Wood's parents. I don't doubt he's smart.....he pretty much cleverly got rich by being hated, but people will always form initial impressions on appearance and demeanor and people that choose to look and act like that will just have to deal with it.....The difference is, he's already made and doesn't have to worry about what others think, while johnny q. goth has to worry about getting and keeping a job to survive.

lafta scares me.

in reference to the album, MM is going down that "getting softer with more dance music" road. i miss the sound of the old albums. the new ones eventually grow on me, but not nearly as easy to pick up. i blame excessive absinthe use.

as far as the video goes, maybe they figured "well, we might as well have sex. otherwise, we'll be naked and pretending to have sex." not to mention that they getting extra publicity by saying they're having sex. and MM knows how to feed off of negative publicity.

Yeah... I do it for my friends. Actually, when I first started painting them in high school my friends asked what the hell I was doing it for. I liked it, so I did it.

And yes, I agree that this new album will probably have to grow on you. Still not sure about it myself.

And other than my nails, I look perfectly presentable and have no problem keeping a job. In fact, just got a good-sized raise.



And on a side-note, the last few girlfriends have actually liked the fact that I could run my nails down their backs. They wished they that they could grow their nails as well as mine do.

I want to reiterate that I love Manson's new album; first listen and every subsequent one. It's not quite as sexy (YEAH I SAID SEXY!) as Mechanical Animals, and it's not as ominous as Antichrist Superstar or its predecessors, but it's still hot as shit. It has some of his best writing since the Holy Wood concept, but the music far transcends that album.

There are so many tracks I'd love to hear performed acoustic, much like so many classic industrial songs.
