Look, Hillary's negatives are in the 50s. She won't be the nominee. Richardson is setting himself up to be a VP, and will likely get that nod.

And in all hypotheticals being discussed, Al Gore would win the presidency.

Look for Romney to be the Republican nominee. He'll win New Hampshire and iowa and after that, it is smooth running.

If Romney is on the ticket, the Republicans lose.

Obama would win the general election. mccain won't win the primary, nor will hillary.

what makes you think obama is gonna win...we still got that 50 dollar bet but i dont see him getting more than 40 percent tops

[Edited on May 26, 2007 at 3:52 PM. Reason : i think clinton has a better chance than obama...more women than blacks in the us]

You don't overcome negatives like hillary has and still become president.

It isn't about women being a homogenous voting segment. Plus, the Democrats already have the black vote. Obama has mass appeal, from both dems and repubs.

Bush 43 isnt especially tall, but he isnt short either. He's 5'11" (avg american is ~ 5'10"). but i was wrong, John Edwards isnt "short" either. He's also 5'11" Some reason, he just seems short to me. maybe we could just put him and GWB in the Octagon.

anyhow, this was interesting. it is true, we dont elect short presidents --

I don't think Edwards is going to lose this election based on physical attributes.

who is "you guys"?? As far as I can see, only the OP seems to think this. nobody else is taking it serious.

hey wait. youre the OP, you fucking retard.

GTFO.

(oh, well nutsmackr, seems to think he could win *if* he were to run.... well, maybe nutsmackr knows something i dont, but i'm saying gore isnt gonna run because he wont get the nomination, even if he *did* seek it out, which i think is about as likely as hell freezing over.)

"If the Democrats were looking for qualifications, Richardson has them in spades (congressman, diplomat, ambassador, cabinet-level secretary, and governor). Unfortunately, some might have a problem with his heritage. the fact that he can't keep his dick in his pants"
I heard this from a friend of mine who works on one of the campaigns. Inside the beltway, Richardson is known as a notorious philanderer. Personally, I don't see it stopping an uber-qualified candidate, but who knows? I can't see him being VP to Hillary just because the public would scratch their heads at the fact that the VP was a) more likable and b) more qualified than the president. Hillary is too much of a control freak to allow that. Obama or Edwards would fit the bill nicely though since they are political lightweights and won't overshadow or embarrass her.

The Republican's simply don't have any likable or exciting candidates. Among other things, Giuliani's first wife was also his second cousin. That is a little creepy (and people make fun of the South). He's three times married and lived with gay couple. Is this guy really electable in the Republican primaries? I think not. Mitt Romney won as a Republican in one of the most liberal states in the Union. That says a lot for him, but will voters as a whole, after this administration, want someone whose faith is more than pleasant platitudes and Sunday morning church photo ops? Probably not.

Didn't know that. that alone is enough to not make me vote for him and still i'm not so sure about being NYC mayor and then running the country. Romney, I can't see a Mormon making it.

and I can't see Gore winning @ all. it's going to be interesting. it'd be great if Bush-43 could just do another 4 yrs. Can the law be changed?

^ You done lost your mind son. This has been easily the most incompetent administration since Carter, possibly since Johnson.

^ no, you misunderestimate me.

the part about itt i would love, is the resulting backlash where we'd see the true enemies of our US Constitution dangling from lampposts.
