So...quick, lame question.

What are the chances that he stays in LA?

Do they, like, own him or something?

kobe or bynum?

kobe is probably gonna stay i think

he has 2 years left on his contract with LA and for a trade, they'd have to get a lot to make the salaries work and stay under the salary cap for both teams...he has a no trade clause but he said he'd waive it...but apparently he talked to his coach phil jackson and he wants to stay...i'll bet jerry west will be in LA tomorrow

Bynum.

I am vaguely familiar with West. Why/how is he so much better at that job?

^kobe likes west...west was in LA when they were winning titles with shaq and kobe...and he has a great history with the NBA and can make some deals work that normally wouldnt...he is also the silhouette on the NBA logo FYI

depends...if they can work out a deal to get a big time superstar to play with kobe bynum might be somebody that gets shipped off but they want to keep him...

here he is blocking former Wolfpack player and UGA transfer Damien Wilkins

AHA, I didn't know Wilkins actually made it to the NBA. Too bad that man wasn't a few years younger and playing under Lowe.

Yeah, maybe he should go play baseball. This basketball thing obviously isn't working out for him.

And you know, there hasn't been a Space Jam movie for a good, long while.

I doubt MJ will even sniff 81 points, let alone 70, now that he's retired

Lebron on the other hand...he might do it...not Jordan though, hell no

he would have with that many shots against a shitty team, who was Jordan scored so many points against? God, some of you are fucking stupid. 81 against Toronto or 69 vs. the cavs? Now which team actually made the playoffs? And hell the 63 against the Celtics was even more impressive than either of those other games because that was against the champs.

amazing

How about 62 points against the Mavs?

[Edited on June 1, 2007 at 11:02 AM. Reason : that was against the team that should have been the champs]

the 63 points was great...in a loss...maybe if he didnt let danny ainge drive past him for multiple layups the game wouldve been closer

i love the "the raptors suck" argument though...even though they made the playoffs this year, you act like they werent throwing everything at kobe, and he STILL scored 55 in a half

you'd probably argue that jordan's 63 against boston was more impressive than chamberlain's 100

hell kobe outscored the dallas mavericks 62-61 before phil jack benched him for the 4th quarter one game...

They weren't. Did you even watch that game? They never double-teamed him, and they left him open outside the arc.

i did watch the game and yes they double teamed him plenty in the 2nd half

its pretty disrespectful to the sport of basketball though to dismiss one of the greatest single game performances ever by trying to say Toronto sucks...they're an NBA team...I guess Ladainian rushed for 300 yards on the Browns it would be nothing special since they're the Browns

Jamal Lewis ran for 500 vs the Browns in 1 season

They had a worst defense than an Arena league team

Bullshit. Back in the 80's, when Jordan didn't have any talent around him, he averaged more ppg than Bryant ever has. He also shot for a higher percentage.

hey look, kobe didnt have any talent around him this year and he averaged 33ppg, about what jordan averaged during the 80s

the only SCORER (scorer != basketball player) better than Kobe is Chamberlain

Jordan was a better scorer than either of those 2.

But back on topic. Hopefully Kobe gets traded to the Rockets for McGrady + change, and then Yao breaks his leg and retires.

wrong twista, you know wilt would never have those averages if he played now or 10 years ago, come on man. You also know that you and I will never agree on this

we can certainly agree that comparing eras is difficult and isnt any type of concrete evidence

if wilt played nowadays could he score 81? cause if you say no, that means if kobe played in wilt's day he could score more than 100, right?

but seriously people would give shit to wilt about not passing enough and shooting too much...so the next season he led the entire league in assists...yep that year he averaged 24ppg, 24rpg and 8.5apg...now THAT is ballin

its one thing to average a double double...its another to average a double double double, or whatever they call 20/20 average

also one time Bill Russell got 40 rebounds in playoff game...how many playoff games did Jordan get 40 rebounds in

wilt would not average 52 points a game nor would he have 25 rebounds a game for a whole season. and yes i think kobe and jordan could have scored 100 points in a game back then. Reread what happened that game and you will know the details of the last few minutes of the game and tell me what you think.

wilt was more of a circus though

His teams were told to feed him the ball because people came from all around to see the great wilt chamberlain

I once read that his coaches were told to not take him out of the game and that every possession go to wilt

thus the 100 point game the 50 point average

Kobe and MJ are definitely better scorers than wilt

can wilt step out and stroke a J??

^how many total 60+ point games did he ever have? 2 or 3?

Wilt scored 100 when there werent even 3-pointers

I HAVE BEEN A LEBRON SUPPORTER SINCE HE CAME OUT...I THOUGHT HE DESERVED THE MVP LAST YEAR....THE CAVS ARE A LOTTERY TEAM WITHOUT LEBRON.....HE IS THE MOST GIFTED BASKETBALL PLAYER I HAVE EVER SEEN....UNLESS HE HAS ANY SERIOUS INJURIES IN HIS CAREER HE WILL EASILY GO DOWN AS THE BEST BASKETBALL PLAYER EVER

THAT WHINEY BITCH KOBE COULD LEARN A LOT FROM WATCHING THIS PLAYOFF SERIES

dude get lebron's cock out of your ass

i swear...one fucking game and everybody goes apeshit...did you say kobe will easily go down as the best basketball player ever when he dropped 81? maybe you said jamal crawford will go down as the best ever when he dropped 50?

I NEVER SAID THAT...IN FACT I THINK I ARGUED WITH YOU ABOUT THE MVP RACE LAST YEAR...KOBE ONE OF THE BEST SCORERS EVER BUT HE ISN'T A LEADER.....LEBRON HAS NEVER COMPLAINED ONCE ABOUT THE TALENT AROUND HIM AND HE HAS SINGLE HANDEDLY PUT HIS TEAM IN POSTION TO GO TO THE FINALS WITH GARBAGE AROUND HIM....

KOBE IS A WHINEY CUNT

Lebron likes to throw his teammates assists.

Kobe likes to throw his teammates (and management) under the bus.

kobe and lebron are both tremendous stars...but come on...you cant base everything you think about one player on one game...i mean shit after games 1 and 2 everybody was ready to say he was a joke..now he's the best player of all time? reactionary like woah

ONE OF THE REASONS WHY LEBRON IS BETTER THAN KOBE IS BECAUSE IF YOU DOUBLE/TRIPLE TEAM LEBRON HE CAN HIT THE OPEN MAN IN SCORING POSITION....

BOTTOM LINE: HIS GAME TRANSLATES TO WINS

KOBE HASN'T WON SHIT WITHOUT SHAQ AND WAS ONLY A GOOD PLAYER WHEN HE WAS LEBRON'S AGE...HE SURE AS HELL WASN'T SINGLE HANDEDLY WINNING PLAYOFF GAMES

NEITHER WAS JORDAN
