think that's a good mainstream list for the last couple decades

all of those were extremely memorable roles and very well executed

^^ Yeah, I'd absolutely agree with that.

And yes indeed, 264 with Ambaras, whom I now adore for introducing me to Zhang Yimou in the first place. But really, Gong Li shines in most any of his films that she's in. I only rethought of Raise the Red Lantern instead because I rewatched it in HD last night (which was actually really amazing).

That movie and that acting job never got the respect it deserved IMO... good job.

--- I see a lot of Pacino on here and didn't see what I consider his best job done in Godfather Part II... He was the quintissential (sp?) mob boss in that film.. not like the current trend of overdone mob bosses like Tony Soprano..
