If I can't Wimbledon, I can't Wimbledon. It is as simple as that. It ain't about that at all. It's easy to sum it up if you're just talking about Wimbledon. We're sitting here, and I'm supposed to be the franchise player, and we're talking about Wimbledon. I mean listen, we're sitting here talking about Wimbledon, not a game, not a game, not a game, but we're talking about Wimbledon. Not the game that I go out there and die for and play every game last it's my last but we're talking about Wimbledon man. How silly is that? Now I know that I'm supposed to lead by example and all that but I'm not shoving that aside like it don't mean anything. I know it's important, I honestly do but we're talking about Wimbledon. We're talking about Wimbledon man. (laughter from the media crowd) We're talking about Wimbledon. We're talking about Wimbledon. We're not talking about the game. We're talking about Wimbledon. When you come to the arena, and you see me play, you've seen me play right, you've seen me give everything I've got, but we're talking about Wimbledon right now 7/5/2007 11:25:36 AM |

i was upset to see baghdatis and roddick lose...i would have loved semis of nadal/bags and roddick/federer (although i do hate how the 1 and 3 seed would meet in the semis instead of the 2 and 3). i can't imagine djokovic having much left in the tank to challenge nadal...nor can i forsee federer having trouble with djokovic.
another nadal/federer will be good to see...of course my money is on federer, he is just too good for anyone on grass/hard and anyone other than nadal on clay. 7/6/2007 4:13:21 PM |

Honestly, I thought he looked very vulnerable at times today. He's been modest before after winning championships, and tried to play off the fact that he absolutely outclassed his opponent, but this was the first time where it was sincere. He was very lucky to win today, Nadal just ran out of steam at the end and couldn't close out those 15-40 games in the 5th set. 7 straight days of tennis for Nadal, and to challenge Federer like that was unreal. 7/8/2007 1:17:53 PM |

anyone care to explain how to get tickets for the US Open. If I buy a daytime session on say a thursday does that usually guarantee that I will be able to see some top players? I'm thinking about doing it for a suprise for the girlfriend. She loves roddick and federer...anyone know? 7/8/2007 1:35:12 PM |

I wouldn't go so far to say that he was outplayed, but Nadal definitely came a lot closer to beating Federer at Wimbledon than Federer got to beating Nadal at the French. 7/8/2007 1:47:53 PM |

You can buy a day session or a night session for the three major courts. Ashe, Armstrong, Grandstand, and see the matches scheduled for those courts on that day. Or you can buy a grounds pass and watch all the matches on the outer courts (usually the players outside of the top ten) and the practice courts. But you couldnt guarantee to see a certain player, becuase they might be out of the tournament, or it might be their side of the draw's day off7/8/2007 2:37:53 PM |
