Agreed. Boom was pretty good as well, but nothing got everyone and kept everyone hyped like Bodies. I have fond memories of the whole student section with hands in the air in unison.

i think ther are trying to skew the voting so some lame ass song will be played, i just hope the marketing team or who ever does the music will realize this and play some good song.

that said, we should pick a favorite TWW song and skew the votes so we get what we want. If we all vote for different songs then who knows what will be played.

Ten Thousand Fists starts off quiet (let fog build up in the tunnel) and then really explodes (fireworks go off, the team storms out on the field)

Won't Back Down has a great chorus line that will get not only the fans pumped, but the team as well
"I won't back down
I will not bow
I've come to bring you hell"

Personally I think that "Won't Back Down," would be better because of the motivation factor.

And yes it has to be a rock song, think about what the crowd is doing at a rap concert (rocking/bouncing, relatively quiet) and then think about what the crowd is doing at a rock concert (jumping, screaming, sometimes to the point that you can't even hear the music, fists/horns in the air). That will translate to our stands, and jumping and screaming is definitely what we want if we're trying to pump up the people/players, not the majority of fans just standing there with a few people here and there dancing around a little.

I left this thread alone yesterday, and then posted this morning without reading what was said since yesterday. We do need to agree on one song, that way the poll doesn't get skewed. Not that the athletic department would allow it, but it would suck if Rick Astley was #1.

That being said, if people want, they can can deny songs, and if its evident that the song isn't strongly supported by TWW (say 3 or 5 denials), then it will be removed from the list, and so on until there is only 1 song left. Here are what people have suggested:

Wake and BC fans are stupid if they think that the athletics department at State isn't going to see through the "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" votes. I guess they think our people will be like, "Er it looks like all the fans want the Cyndi Lauper fan, dur. I guess we have to give them what they want." It's funny that the thread started on the UMD board by the Wake fan has only one reply. I almost feel bad for BC fans. No one in Boston cares about them, and many Boston residents and other college students there hate them. They think they are as good as Notre Dame. Their facilities suck for both basketball and football. Their tailgating is terrible. Boston roads and drivers are terrible. They think they are starting to become a rival of Duke's in basketball, or at least they did after losing to them in the 2006 ACC Championship game. They hired a guy that has no head coaching experience, and basically got the job b/c he was a cheap buy. And the only thing they can come up with to make fun of us is to call us Raleigh Clown College.

I used to listen to Disturbed all the time in weightlifting in high school. There needs to be a part of the song near the beginning with some sort of boom or loud noise or something so that the fireworks synchronize well
