I posted this somewhere else but here it is anyways:


I signed up for the Citi American Airlines MasterCard 6 months ago since they give you enough points (25k i think) for a free flight with your first purchase. I don't really use the card at all, and now they are billing me for an $85 annual fee. I'm assuming I can cancel the card and not pay the fee (or next years fee etc) but I'll lose the free flight right?

How "free" are those flights anyway? Seems with all the restrictions it might not be worth that much anyway. I'm thinking I might use the flight in the next year or two so maybe its worth paying the annual fees.

Another consideration is the impact it will have on my credit. I know that generally, you're not supposed to cancel credit cards but I have a very low debt to available credit ratio, and the card is a 6 month old card so I don't see where I would take the hit to my credit.

So I'm looking for guidance on whether I should cancel the card and some educated guesses about what that cancellation would do to my credit

I've noticed some Hispanic people look white (like Shakira), while others you can clearly tell are Hispanic (like Mexicans). Is there any animosity between the white-looking Hispanics and the others?

My laptop's sound breaks up when I play an emulated game. This never happened with my older, slower computer. I've concluded the problem is my laptop (a Dell Inspiron 9300) doesn't have a sound card. I'm looking at either this:

I graduated with a Master's of Computer Science in May. I took a job six weeks ago that I find incredibly boring. I get paid 45k a year. Should I quit this job and look for another one?
