so, as long as dubya is at least perceived as not following the Constitution, then it's ok for Congress to blatantly ignore the Constitution, is that what you are getting at? Do two wrongs now make a right, or does it just fuck over the American people yet again?

No, I think what he is getting at is the trolls in this section have gotten lazy in their game.

There is no constitutional issue here, as Congress has always had the authority to oversee and influence the operations of the military (or any other department in the executive branch) through its power of the purse and power to hold hearings. Unless President Bush figures out a way to run the war without appropriations, he will have to answer to Congress.

Sometimes it isn't clear if you are just trolling, or if your passion is only matched by your ignorance of civics and reality.

and hey, I'm OK if congress says "hey, we are cutting off funding after X date." But, to my knowledge, that's not what they are doing. They are saying "Dubya, you will remove troops by X date," and that is going too far. It's just that Congress doesn't have the balls to say "No more money, dubya."
