I'm not pissed at people thinking Manny Ramirez, but you shouldn't be shocked when most of the people on this site are going to the associate Manny with an ex-NCSU player (this school) currently in the NFL (much more interest than MLB). I brought up UT because you seem stunned to find this board unapologetically Wolfpack-centric, and that seems to be the only logical explanation. It is after all TheWolfWeb.

um, no, its the opposite... you got mad that some people didnt think that it was about Lawson...

and you can be a fan and still be objective when it comes to objective things... for example, I hate florida, cant stand them, but would I sit here and tell you that Tennessee was better last year? no, thats dumb.

^i'm not sure how objectivity has anything at all to do with this thread. nobody said manny lawson was more popular than manny ramirez, that is ridiculous.

however, manny was a very popular player here only a year and a half ago, was known as 'manny' and was a first round draft pick, which at the least should put him on equal footing w/ ramirez on an ncsu board.

unfortunately it is hard to make direct comparisons b/c i dont know UT players and how they are referred to vs. some other player that you insist be current (although lofton was a 6 time All Star and finished 4th in the mvp voting one year, and why wouldnt he be referred to as lofton?)

what's really funny is this thread has gone two pages on a non-issue as only you and the first poster seem to care about any confusion and the first poster still hasn't backed up his million manny's

you started it with "tells you all you need to know about whether to click on the thread or not"... everything since then from me has just been to make the point that Manny could very very very easily be taken to mean Manny Ramirez, and it doesnt matter if this is an NC State Board or not. If this board ONLY talked about NC State athletes or former athletes then you would have a point, but since this board talks about ALL sports, and the fact that we are smack in the middle of baseball season, many people could easily take it to mean Ramirez.

And once again, Kenny Lofton was never known just as "Lofton", Manny Ramirez is known as just Manny.
