Just a heads up to anyone thinking about picking it up, if you buy from Best Buy there's a 2nd bonus disc inside the case making it a 2 disc set. The sticker on the outside says it's a Best Buy Exclusive, but who really knows?

According to the back of the disc it's:

Storyboard Animatic for Bender's Big Score

Layout Animatic for BBS

Sneak Peek at the next movie, Beast with a Billion Backs.

It claims it's 49 minutes of extra stuff in total.

"Preposterous Twaddlecock! Time travel is impossible."
"But professor you timetraveled yourself, remember? When we went back to Roswell?"
"That proves nothing! And furthermore, you'd think I'd remember a thing like that. Plus, who are you anyway?"

not sure i completely agree, but to make the argument, you cant really say without giving away the ending

Hate to say it but the ending wasn't that much of a surprise. It should have been fairly clear well before the midpoint of the movie. The only thing was the "how" of it all.

^^^^yeah, pretty much.

of course, it was obvious as soon as you saw the whale scene

but im saying if you try to explain why it's better than jurassic bark you cant do it without giving away some of the more important parts that are better left seen than known before hand

Just out of curiousity - what meaning of "destroy" is being used here?

Is it A) it "destroyed 'Jurassic Bark'" in a bad way, as in "X-men: The LAst Stand" destroyed the series, or B) "destroyed" as in "much better than?"

I loved the movie, and didn't think that it detracted from the impact that "Jurassic Bark" will still have.

OMG...I didn't cry during Scindlers list or Bambi or Titanic...

But I fucking balled my eyes out over "Jurassic Bark."

Please tell me the DVD isn't going to make me cry.

nah

and for the record i reiterate that i disagree that it killed jurassic bark

wasnt even close

but it was good because you think you're getting closure in one way, and you do end up getting closure, just not in the way you think.

Oh, I understood "destroy" Jurassic Bark as:

Ruined any kind of emotion that episode tried to build. The emotion of that episode remains intact when watching the series in order, but when you get up to this point you're just...

"Oh, meh."

well, in a sense it does do that, but the episode still stands alone as fantastic

I thought the first 20 minutes or so were stupid, but other than that it was ok.

Seriously, I thought the sneak peak we all got some time ago was just some short they did for advertising purposes. It turns out those are the first 5 minutes or so of the actual movie.

It didn't really get rolling until they dropped the "we're back" theme.

***KINDA SPOILER COMMENT****

not really a spoiler, but i thought the scammers were TOO obnoxious...i mean i know that's the purpose, but they sucked as characters...

also, does anyone know why leela and amy were like YOU CAN TALK??? when nibbler rode in on the guinea pig? he definitely did that before in a couple diff. eps,
but i forget if it was just to fry or to all of them

leela saw him talk in the brain episode, but she then got blasted by their brainwaves and thus forgot the whole thing.

**********SPOILER POSSIBLE ANSWER***************

Nibbler talked to Leela once but the Niblonians later zapped everyone's memory, so she forgot about that. Only Fry remembered the brain attack, but everyone thought he was crazy.

What I didn't get was that after he talked everyone made a big deal about it but by the end of the episode Nibbler seemed to be operating under his old disguise which he had blown. That might just be a bad interpretation but he seemed to be his same old self by the end.

10/10

Worked well as a movie. Felt like a long episode sometimes, but also had a nice epic movie feel to it.

Can't wait to buy the next 3 dvds.

It didnt even have any of those lengthy gag-less periods like the Simpsons movie did, nor did it feel terribly like a long episode. A+

No he wasn't. Right at the end before all the Benders went haywire, he yelled "Everyone out of the universe!" and disappeared right in front of everyone. He talked in several scenes before that too.
