Fun movie. Gondry's little sentimental tribute to cinema. Lots of fun visuals of course in typical Gondry fashion. I just wish they had been able to get the rights for Back to the Future.

Yeah I was hoping for some 80's appearances like Back to the Future, The Karate Kid, or even The Goonies, but it's understandable they couldn't get the license to do those.

The movie was really good, the Ghostbusters thing was really well done.

Currently showing at the $1.50. Ghostbusters is the major one you would need to see. Its the best part of the movie, imo.

Saw this yesterday and loved it. It's not a revelation by any means, but I had a great time. Nice to see some of the older Gondry tricks reused in a fun way...the negative thing cracked me up.

I'm not white, and I just watched this movie, and thought it was pretty good.

I think this quote from a review kind of sums up how I felt about it:

The fact they were remaking movies wasn't the point of this movie. If you are watching hoping to see a bunch of parodies, you're going to hate it. The movie is more about the characters and their interactions, and overall the general idea of creativity and ideas, and where they come from.

Note: i'm not a gondry or indie movie freak, I disliked The Science of Sleep, but I did like this movie a lot.

Just watched...thoroughly enjoyed.

Does it make sense to say that I didn't really enjoy the movie...just the characters??

Jack Black, Mos Def, and the latin (I think) chick were awesome. Danny Glover just gets on my nerves (and seriously...that lisp is fucking horrible...that's two movies in a row...shit must be getting worse with age).

So the characters really made the movie for me.
