yeah, that's kind of weak for being "huge"...Forgotten Hope for BF1942 was over a GB and Desert Combat was pretty close to that

Yeah dude, there is no limit to how many groups you can be in.

You do have to pick a "primary group" though.

Played it for about 15 minutes this morning.

0 lag. Beautiful graphics...looks just as good or better than the videos on my comp.

I played Fortress Forever and just didn't really care about it. That's not to say they did a bad job; they did a great job. But, it's just TFC, except it doesn't have the goofy hilarious models, and it runs much shittier on my computer.

TF2 on the other hand... I only had a few minutes to play it this morning, and I don't know how long lasting it will be for me given a lot of the changes, BUT it has the two basic elements that made TFC my favorite game of all time. It's simply a lot of fun to play, and it's damn hilarious.

Goddamit I'm so pissed, it keeps freezing before I can get into a game.

If it's not a nv4 display error that bluescreens me, the menu freezes, or when i finally get in, the audio will loop on the chalkboard screen. WHAT THE FUCK.

See that's what I hate PC games sometimes, so much bullshit between OS issues, drivers issues, vid card issues, the works.

I mean my setup is fine and everthing....defragged system, driver clean to the newest nvidia betas.

Also the command is still name YOURNAME

I've asked in the server and everyone agrees, its still the same command. but some how i'm the only [unknown] in every server i join.

Yeah, some kids were complaining about that this morning. You have to change it through the menu interface....I think. You might also want to try changing your Steam ID, as I'm pretty sure it uses that.

^^ I ran into this problem in 1.6 too. If you make your name a single digit number it will change and fix itself, and you can change your name. Or you could do it the long way and type "messagemode name" in console and then get out of console and where you usually type in say text, you will type in your name.

I'm amazed by how well this game runs. Nearly everything in my PC is at least 2 years old, and it runs liquid smooth at 1920x1200 with everything maxed out. The graphics are just beautiful. It's hard to concentrate on playing half the time cuz you're just watching people run around and blow up all around you. I am missing some things from the original TFC, but nothing I won't get over with time.
