and another Q: the UAV jammer ability, does it only hide you on radar when the enemy gets the UAV, or does it hide you on radar all the time, i.e. also when firing your weapon?

i don;t think so. you have to give everyone a chance to make their create a class stronger, however, completing the challenges in the barracks will separate the weak from the strong. this system encourages longer sitting times with this game because the suspense of what will unlock next. this is part of how they hook you. however, the stronger player will ultimately unlock everything much faster, in the full game that is, because of the said challenges of the barracks.

now just because you have a scope or shoot through walls doesn't mean someone without those wont be killing, it helps you out but i wouldn't say it makes you 10 times better...there are people who have figured out where to sit on maps to get 40 kills every time (in free for all) which i hate

I would assume it's only for UAV. That's why there is the silencer for avoiding radar detection

well i know one of the beginning perks is a 2x remote explosive device, but i'm not sure if that's the same thing

i love this game. try out sniping on the overgrown level, you can get on the roofs of a few buildings if you get on the dumpster that lets you get on the wall facing the hay field and propane tank, it makes for a nice little spot that views about 60% of the whole level.
