"remember some of this varies by state laws."

oh, definitely. i'm only talking about wake county, nc.

"Dr. Huggard is a licensed attorney. He said you would be liable for damages beyond your insurance coverage and cited scenarios he had personally seen where people were sued for well beyond their insurance and ended up losing everything."

again, i'm not saying people can't be sued. i'm saying an individual person can't sue someone else in this particular scenario. in cases like this, if someone is sued beyond their coverage it's by the insurance companies to regain their losses, because they've had to pay out to the victim. i guess you could consider that a backwards way of the victim sueing the other person, but not really.

"Anyway, lets just agree that it fucking sucks balls getting beasted in an accident."

for sure.

Quote :
"Furthermore, I have some very close friends whose parents ran a stop sign and killed another family as well as themselves. The other family sued their deceased parents' estate and ended up taking all the insurance money and the whole estate. They weren't allowed to keep anything of value and the other family was so vindictive they wouldn't even let them take things with sentimental value."

that's something completely different. i have no idea how wrongful death, etc. suits work.

"Maybe things have changed, but it certainly seems that you could sue someone at some time within recent years."

yeah, you can definitely sue a person for a variety of reasons. you just can't in this particular situation.

where have i back tracked? i've said the same thing over and over you retard. YOU PERSONALLY CAN'T FUCKING SUE ANOTHER PERSON FOR YOUR EXCESS EXSPENSES IN AN AUTO/MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT.

how many times do i need to say it? not that i expect someone that works at jiffy lube to understand anything.
