the giant foot, while strange, can at least be explained physically. They can pretty easily come up with some kind of explaination as to why The Others, the Darma Initiative, or some previous inhabitants would build a big..... 4-toed foot, i guess. It might be a BS explaination, but at least you don't have to make a supernatural leap of faith to see it happen.

What about Walt? Well, I imagine the actor is about 20 by now, so if he comes back the hardest part will be explaining how he aged 6 years in only 5 months time

^you don't just throw out a HUGE 4-toed foot and explain it away with a bullshit story. it damn well better be important to the overall plot, otherwise, what a shit show this would turn out to be.

all they do is throw out random bullshit and then try to explain it away with a weaksauce plot hole.

i like this show, but I get frustrated with the "writers'" bullshit.

TV Guide watched and reviewed half of the episodes already and said that this could possibly be the best writing LOST has ever had. (which is why they reduced the season from 24-16 episodes.

it's possible that this isn't the end and they or some do go back to the island. jack and kate being back to the real world could be somewhere in the middle of the timeline. there is plenty of show left to allow for it.

i actually think the flash forwards and knowing that they get off the island is a good thing. With this the show doesn't just end with them getting off the island and wondering what happened, instead, you get to know what happens and you can look at the things that took place before hand in the continuous time line and know why they went down the way they did.

As for the mysteries, i'm sure most of those will be explained in due time. They don't say what happens but i'm positive michael comes back this season, and that will give us some indication as to what happened to walt.

Also, its an old fucking island, just because there is a giant foot there doesn't mean that the others or the dharma initiative is the group that put it there. Not to mention that the others don't really age- which we know from the fact that dark-haired dude with short hair that met up with ben when he was a little kid hasn't aged at all.
