Effort? I imagine a guy like you might consider that last post 'effort', after all, just look at how well you comprehend sports, which is to say, about as well as a comatose down syndromed fetus.

It would be fine but this shithead can't stand to not rile some NCSU fans. And the sad thing is, the average joe here is too stupid to not take the bait. Just feeds the shitty troll.

^ I mean just look at this shit. This dumbass just said he won, then came in second to me? I can't respond to this shit. It's like trying to battle a 3rd grader for who has the better snaps.

murdoc is correct.

The last few years there was a growing group of bc fans that thought tob was a terrible coach and actually "holding bc back" similar to how we felt with herb. I read this in an article on some college football guys column about this years hires. They (bc fans) hated his attitude and conservative coaching.

I know one thing is for sure great coaches show quick results. Every team in the acc with the exception possibly of duke has talent that can win games. BC has no amazing players aside from matt ryan.

All this said BC loses TOB and brings in an "offensive" minded coach and sure enough they are night and day from last years team while TOB is winless in a position where the previous coach was said to be great at recruiting and just couldn't discipline players/coach on gameday?

And to look further sure enough, NCstates numbers have fallen down while BC stock has soared?

When you're tyring to make a big hire never take a guy that is not considered a god by his current fanbase. The best home run threats are

a. coaches from the next level
b. coaches that are dominating somewhere else possibly a midmajor and
c. assistants that are doing b.

taking a coach from an above average team is always a gamble, unless of course you're looking for herbish consistency.

It kills me to see UNC takeover football right before my eyes...and to think, it all came down to who made the right hire.

Fire Fowler

So even though bowls were played for a lot more than the past 10 years, and the SEC and Big Ten have played in bowls for a lot longer than that, the past 10 years are all that matters?

HAHA, get that shit outta here son.

^That pretty much is everything I have been trying to say.

Its sad most NCSU fans can't or refuse to realize all that.

Alright dude, just wait and see how BC fares next year, and all subsequent years with Jags, and how TOB does here over the next few years.

I'm pretty sure you'll be proven dead fucking wrong.

no, you delusional fuckface, we have a ton of injuries and a wretched offensive line. You're gonna blame this on the coaches, especially on an OL coach ranked second in the nation by ESPN?

Seriously?

You people are UNREAL.

It certainly does not represent the history of college football, but this thread is about BCS standings and that is what I was looking at. I am not arguing that the Big Ten is historically a better conference when playing against the SEC. What I'm saying is that within the history of the BCS the bowl record is not one sided.

If TOB improves our football program as much as Herb did basketball and makes it a constant winner and top 4 in the ACC year in and year out....I will be extremely please. I mean isn't that what the idea is? We never have been that great.

Quote :

So Sidney Lowe is a terrible basketball coach since he didn't show quick results and the team didn't play well at the beginning of the year?

FSU really fucked up in the 70s when they took that guy from West Virginia who was not a God. He was fired by them. What is that guy's name? Oh right Bobby Bowden. So instead of hiring a proven winner you wanted us to hire an assistant who wouldn't have his staff come with him, compose an entirely new staff, and take over a program never doing so before. Yeah you should have Fowler's job.
And where is all this talent? We have 65 or however many scholarship players and that is including both Evans and many more that were not originally on scholarship. If we have so much talent, tell me how many players on this year's team will get drafted at their current level? Possibly Pressley, Blackman, Brown, Baker, Hill, Morgan and all of them are questionable. Hell 3 of them are out for the season.

^^Exactly.

You mean....YOU MEAN LIKE CHUCK AMATO SHOWING GREAT RESULTS WITH MIKE COCAINES MIRACLE RECRUIT?

You two dipshits haven't even been clever enough to realize that is what is happening at BC. Matt Ryan is running that show, when he is gone, BC won't have near the year next year that they are having this year (oh, and btw, they still haven't played anyone yet)

I mean I wouldn't expect the Sports IQ to raise any with a simple user name change. Just do what most already do, ignore everything the peabrain says.

"Its common knowledge that the SEC is year in and year out in the top 2, usually #1. How about you go get the SECs overall bowl record vs the Big 10s, then get back to us. Just because the Big 10 has a better record against the SEC means shit when the SEC has more teams going to bowls every year."

maybe its just the media SUCKING THEIR DICK!!! and thats still just maybe... i agree that the sec is the best, but MAYBE not, or at least not by as deep as people think...

he posted the statistics over the years... 13-13 record big ten vs. sec...
maybe just cool down about it

I don't really get what is going on. Both the SEC and Big 10 get slobbed constantly. Any perceived lack of respect Big 10 fans seem to be hinting at is absurd. You only have to look to the bloodbath that was Ohio State and Michigan in bowls last year after weeks of hearing talking heads say how the real NC game was played in Columbus in November.

The only difference is that the SEC can consistently back it up with quality games every weekend.

To be honest, I think the conference that gets the biggest raw deal year after year is the Pac-10. They are deep, have TONS of playmakers/speed and play great games week in and week out from top to bottom. Just no one wants to sit home on a Saturday night on the East coast at 11pm and watch CFB... I know I didn't when I was on the East Coast. To me, since I've been in CA, the two best conferences to watch and on the field are EASILY the Pac-10 and the SEC... in what order I don't know..

i agree with that all the way

big ten is very inconsistent with the level of play... that's because of coaching and poor fans

too bad for your argument that OSU has scheduled some of the biggest OOC games over the last few years, and in the next few to come.

'05 and '06: Texas
'08 and '09: USC
'10 and '11: Miami
'12 and '13: Cal
'14 and '15: VT

I don't see most top 10 programs making those type of OOC games possible.

^yep. Isn't the general consensus that it's the whole "east coast media bias" though?

I can't find it at the moment, but I saw the record vs. OOC BCS competition over I believe the beginning of last season to the present. The PAC-10 had by far the highest win percentage, followed by the Big East, SEC, and Big Ten all very close together in that order.
