USF has 2 better wins then any one BCU has... so we have do idea if they are a good team..

My guess is that Va Tech takes it to them after the embarrassment of last year in Boston. I can see BCU losing 3 games.

V my guess is 11-12... there just aren't many teams with quality wins like they have.. and @ RU is a decent loss (i hesitate to call it "quality" only b/c UMd beat them)

Will be interesting to see how the pollsters treat them, Rutgers on the road in a bigtime TV game isnt exactly a bad loss. They were #2 kinda by default they "shouldn't" fall super far after that loss, but being USF I wouldnt doubt the drop into the 20-25 area.

Why wouldn't they? They beat the #2 team in the country... I know in big schools like UT they don't do that EVER but Rutgers has been good for exactly 2.5 years in their entire history... let them enjoy it.

The Louisville win was huge because it was the first time in it's history that New York City was really introduced to CFB. Yeah, I agree about that... I still don't see why they shouldn't rush the field for beating #2 USF.. For fuck's sake, we rushed the field at State Phil's frosh year when we beat UNRANKED Ga Tech..

I actually can see Rutgers becoming a huge program honestly because kids see what Leinart was in SoCal and what SC has become there and really think Rutgers can be like that in NYC..

NYC loves winners and if they can maintain it there is no reason they can't build a great program. The traditionalists won't agree with that but by and large the traditionalists are Southern hillbillies that know nothing about the NYC sports scene or what college aged kids want.. and they're from Alabama.

sometimes i wonder if that's a result of their abundance of choice...

a NY fan can choose to be a Jets or a Giants fan, depending on who's playing best.
Same with the Yankees and the Mets, the Rangers and the Islanders, and to a lesser extent the Knicks and the Nets.

NY fans never have to make a choice and stick with it, not in any of the "big 4" sports. If any of us had those kinds of options we'd probably be "fairweather fans" as well.

i'm sure NyM can expound futher on that.
