Lol, if they can't beat the Jets the only thing the Steelers are going to be hoping to dash is a 40 point ass-whipping at the hands of the Patriots.

yeah and because new orleans beat us tonight that means they're better than every team we beat this year.

santa clara was the best team in basketball the last year unc went all the way, too.

i stand by this prediction. i never said they wouldn't lose any of the other games.

I have to admit that I like this minimalist approach on football lines, lets use it in good weather games.

ok. so i just tuned into this game. whoever decided to go ahead and let this game play, idiot(s). nobody wants to watch a 0-0 game, and i dont know if a shitload of ppl have gotten hurt on this field, but conditions like this, you are asking to get everyone hurt.

^ Truly.

Has a 0-0 game ever happened? Do you just go to overtime as normal?

Note they did not have overtime back then.

The playing field is not going to be conducive to field goals as Reed just showed.

No way in hell the NFL would delay the game. The NFL long ago sold out to TV. I once watched a game where fans were throwing ice snowballs at the other team and the NFL still wouldn't call off the game or delay it.

^ I honestly want the Dolphins to go 0-16. Them and the Patriots trying to go undefeated adds some levity to the whole NFL parity system. "You reap what you sow, and apparently you sowed it." My team is 5-6 and despite being coached by an absolute moron that decided to kick to Devin Hester in a fit of manhood yesterday still almost won, so other than the Patriots and Dolphins there's not much holding my interest in the NFL til the playoffs.

I would like to see a tie though, just cause the result pisses fans off...which makes me laugh. But 0-15-1 doesn't have the same kind of ring as 0-16.

Not to mention this game shows that 0-0 soccer games are more entertaining than whatever result this game puts up.

Damn, my Steelers lose to the second worse team in the NFL, and barely beat the worst team in the NFL....... Please don't get killed by NE

This game was worse than that Giants-Dolphins game in London

it wasn't really the steelers vs the dolphins out there. it was both teams vs the weather and the weather almost won.

They have been particularly interested in the new surface West Virginia University has this year. WVU installed a new generation of FieldTurf this summer called Duraspine at the cost of $901,152. The Steelers sent some of their people to WVU to take a look at the turf."

well the good news is only the steelers use the field for the rest of the season, and they should have time to re-sod the place. there was no drainage b/c they were forced to put the new sod right on top of the old sod. i see that game as being more of the 21-17 variety.

Oliver's Woofing Theorem states, in a nutshell, that in any given
athletic competition (team, individual, amatuer, professional), the
team/player who is the most over-hyped/over-praised by his/her/its
fans/supporters is doomed to LOSE the competition. For example, if
immediately preceding a game between the Seattle Mariners and the
Toronto Blue Jays, two Blue Jay's fans state that "Toronto will kick
ass", while only one Seattle fan makes a similar claim, then Seattle
is guaranteed a win by the ubiquitious and omnipresent Gods of Woofing."

I think the Dolphins will upset them because the Patriots will have clinched home-field advantage for the playoffs by that time. I doubt Belichick will leave his starters in for more than a quarter in the following two games.
