beagles are obnoxious when they get older. Very few beagles turn out alright, most howl at every god damn thing and don't listen worth a damn.
A breed that I've consistently found to be loyal with wisdom seeping through their pores and in their eyes are goldens. Granted they are crazy in their younger years, jumping and spinning, pulling on leads. Nothing a little training won't fix because unlike beagles they listen well and want to please their owners. They're not as stubborn.
I've never seen a dog smile like a golden smiles.
Mutts are the shit too, especially fluffy aussie mixes, soooo sweet. 1/23/2008 10:49:19 PM |

I agree with the howling, but my beagle does a lot of tricks and is generally rather chill.
also cute as fuck:

That's good, I definitely blame the owner for their bad traits. Any dog can be trained if you take the time, some just need more time and commitment.
Unfortunately many people don't know shit about what they're getting into and so raise a rotten pet. 1/23/2008 10:52:33 PM |

^^ obviously, yes
with training, she rolls over, shakes and dances and such for treats
she used to be a little more temperamental when she was smaller
in any case, you can't really change the traditional beagle howl, but you can certainly calm them down so they don't bark at everything outside

haha those are noisy fuckers too. Cute though.
I realy want to start a class on Training Humans. That'd be the shit to sit everyone down and go "Ok folks, it's not the dog's fault he destroys everything, it's you dumbass!"
That'd be wonderful 1/23/2008 11:08:12 PM |
