NEW SERIES!!!

a new style I have been experimenting with and working on. I am getting a really good organic look with this and buyers love em. Ill post a nice jar later with some reflective goldleaf/etched amber. very cool effects, not anything like glass you've seen from me before.

crappy pics taken with my cellphone..

***RARE ARTIFACTS***

drytooth:

here is a pic of the jar, using a graal techique, blasting through a layer of 24kt gold. this has alot of potential, gonna play some more tomorrow.

i appreciate the backhanded compliment...

but honestly, I do all kinds of sculptural and artistic work...but the REAL challenge is making a work of art that is functional as well...

take these for example...these MASTERS of this trade could easily make whatever the hell they wanted to....but they make functional art because the people who collect pieces like these are aficionados and not only do they have the money to collect art, but they are attracted to the "taboo" nature of the artwork.

here are some pieces of Functional Art:

and here is a little fishy for ya.....sold for $1200 and it IS a bubbler....

you DO have a use for it..

they are ART....you LOOK at it..

in fact, im sure you have some nice art in your house, that would looke fantastic on a mantle or little display base. I make those too, if you want metal or wood, it can be done.
