Metallica, to be one of the guys at the original shows...
Their fans had leather coats with middle fingers on the back and they'd stand with their backs to every band that opened for Metallica. Talk about a fan base.

Kyuss - I would love to have been at one of their all day jam sessions in the deserts of Arizona.

Rap - I'd prefer the Low End Theory release from Tribe, only so I could hear them do Scenario and shout to North Kackalack

so many fucking more.......

You can get sorta close with Riders on the Storm (http://www.ridersonthestorm.com/).

AC/DC Pre-1980 (Bon Scott), Guns N' Roses during the Appetite Tour, Hendrix, Van Halen (during the '78 tour, when DLR still had hair and a fully functional voice), Stevie Ray Vaughan, aaand Aerosmith (even when they were out of their gourds, who's with me?)

Doors would be sweet.

I'd also like to see Seger and the Silver Bullet back in the 70s/early 80s.
