that's exactly what happened to me, at least you didn't get towed for $150

Yeah it easily could have, I just lucked out that the cop was not really a douche. He said it showed that the ticket was resolved but my license was suspended for failure to appear.

If I had not had two copies of my license (which is oddly enough illegal as well) I would not have been able to buy beer, rent a car, ride a train, take a flight, or get in to a club until Monday.

Common sense would tell us that you can't be fucking failed to appear for a paid ticket but for some reason no one has managed to fix the error.

This has actually happened to me twice. One time the cop just took my license and said "so, you got somebody that can come get you right?" I said yeah, he left..I drove off a few minutes later. Another time I got towed. All of it was unrelated.

But yeah for the first time I just got my other ID back from my [underage] brother lol... The bad part was I was on my way to go shopping and he wasn't with me so I couldn't use a credit card and didn't have a debit card with me SO that was a waste of a lot of gas. Second time the cop was a fucking douche bag and the tow truck guy was a dick. Usually it costs me like $40-50 to have my car towed when something breaks... pretty sure the cop called the most expensive towing place in town since I said I didn't have a preference on who came

Yeah I have always found that funny too how when your car gets towed from a parking lot its $100 or more but its broke down and you are the one looking for a tow truck (and choosing it) its miraculously cheaper.

Wake county pulled this shit on me. I got a speeding ticket, I paid the speeding ticket. Six months later I get a letter saying my license has been suspended and I'm like "wait, wat?".

Turns out my paperwork got misplaced at the courthouse. My lawyer said that shit happens all the time.

For me one time it was because of Raleigh's mail system sucking dick. I don't know if it's any better now but I rarely got any of my mail while I was at school... like for my birthday I got nothing until about a month after my birthday shit finally started showing up, post marked a week before my birthday. Similar happened with one of my court payments and since they didn't have it in time they suspended my license, but once they got it they were suppose to have fixed it, but obviously didn't.

i'd say if you were really concerned about accountability and fairness in government, you'd focus your time on something more important than this piddly isolated incident

and what are you going to accomplish? are you going to forever rid all police departments and government offices of any and all mistakes?

OK lets all be complacent with all idiocies in society. We should never try to be progressive and improve things that are ridiculously illogical.

Reading this thread, I've found there are lots of people who don't like white people. You are all racists and I quit.

Also, you should start by writing letters. You should write a complaint to RPD, then SCDOT, then NCDOT. People take stuff in writing seriously, but don't be a dick about it.

"Fortunately they didn't so he let me go and apologized for the inconvenience. "

The cop was just following standard procedure. Lots of big time criminals have been caught on simple traffic stops so I wouldn't get bent out of shape about it. I would complain to the SCDOT the most though, and to the court where your case was. I don't know legally what goes on, but I think having the record of having a warrant for your arrest isn't good.
