they are white.

so clearly it must be because it is cold outside and they need the warmth, and also some food.

Mike Vick should have known better, but he didn't. I don't think this mistake should have cost him 100 million dollars, ruined his life, the life of his family, and taken away his freedom though.

I think his punishment was pretty harsh.

When you think about all the people who are caught doing WORSE things, killing PEOPLE, stealing pention money, stealing tax payers' money, etc etc - and get 1/100th of the punishment (if any at all), it really isn't fair.

it didnt cost him "100 million dollars" or "ruin his life"

and he took his own freedom away, but only for 11 months...i think he'll be ok in his plush camp "prison"

and who exactly gets 1/100 the punishment for "killing PEOPLE"

It probably wouldnt have been that bad if he didnt get caught for smoking weed before his trial date. He was a retard for funding the fighting ring and even more of a retard for smoking weed knowing he was going to trial.

i was just saying what he did was wrong.

and his penalty should be/been what any other person penalty is/was for doing such a thing.

im sure jail time is a legit penalty. and i dont know anyone who would want their company represented by a man like that.

if he wouldnt have killed the dogs, he would have gotten a lighter sentence. but its just plain wrong what he did

[Edited on December 19, 2007 at 12:48 PM. Reason : ^^yeah, doesnt he get to come back in 3 years? thats if they want him back. someone will pay him ]

did blackwater keep arabs in doghouses and arrange fights amongst them that they bet on, and did they kill the arabs if they didnt "have any fight in them"? cause clearly you have a perfect analogy, even though you obviously dont

and if you'd care to address your false claims of him losing "100 million dollars" and having his life ruined, i'm sure we'd all be amused at how you addressed those

we all make mistakes...whoops i didnt come to a complete stop at that stop sign officer...whoops i didnt pay my cable bill until 2 days past the due date...whoops i knowingly controlled an illegal dogfighting ring for 6 years

speak for yourself - I'm not sure many people get the same amount of pleasure from TWW are you do.

And no, Blackwater just murdered a bunch of Arabs for no reason... that makes it okay right?

aside from the fact that you're completely talking out of your ass, this is sports talk so you can complain about the iraq war in TSB

pointing out other things bad in the world doesnt excuse Vick from being a complete piece of shit

obviously you dont think he should be held accountable for the things that he knowingly did

Treetwista, I'm speaking out of my ass huh? You're the one who asked me to explain how people who kill PEOPLE get less punishment. I gave a perfect example, then you flipped into a crybaby rant about SOAPBOX. If you don't want to hear the answer, don't ask the question.

find me an article about blackwater people killing arabs "for no reason"

if you cant find an article, why dont you try to stay on topic since this thread isnt about blackwater, and "a perfect example" isnt you giving your opinion on the iraq war

we went through all these bullshit copout arguments months ago

oh i guess we shouldnt arrest people for robbery until there are zero murders in the world...you know, prioritize since murders are worse than robberies...no robbers should be punished

i'd rather you address all the questions we've brought up about vick, but i guess if you cant answer any of those, you can bring up something completely unrelated to try and change the subject

terpball its pretty bad when the only person who agrees with you is intentionally trolling this thread (and every thread he posts in)

You really think that because you don't agree with me:

?

Do you really think you're that important?

I don't know you, or give a fuck about you. All I know is you act like you know everything, but you don't really know shit.

how do you take "its pretty bad when the only person who agrees with you is intentionally trolling this thread" and turn it into me thinking i'm important?

a troll is the only person who agrees with you...and he's not even giving his own opinion, because he is trolling...i thought i made that point pretty clear in my last post but i must have forgotten who i was explaining it to

btw your last 4 posts in this MICHAEL VICK thread have nothing at all to do with Vick, or anything for that matter...step it up

I'd prefer you addressed anything I said about Vick instead of telling me I don't know how to form an argument, or competely missing my point about a troll alias being the only person who agrees with you (although he really doesnt agree with you, its just that he is just trolling)

SO:

How did Vick lose "100 million dollars"?

How did him getting convicted of the crimes he chose to commit "ruin his life"?

Care to address anything related to the topic for a change?

Do you think Peyton would get this bad a sentence if he had been charged?

Fuck no and you know it.

Well Peyton doesn't run a dogfighting ring so thats completely irrelevant. You know who else doesn't run a dogfighting ring? Matt Moore, David Carr, Jake Delhomme, Vinny Testaverde, Jeff Garcia, Drew Brees, Joey Harrington, Byron Leftwich, Chris Redman, Tony Romo, Brad Johnson, Donovan McNabb, Jay Feeley, Eli Manning, Jason Campbell, Brett Favre, Aaron Rodgers, Tarvaris Jackson, Rex Grossman, Brian Griese, Jon Kitna, Matt Leinhart, Kurt Warner, Matt Hasselbeck, Trent Dilfer, Sage Rosenfels, Matt Schaub, David Garrard, Carson Palmer, Tom Brady, Vince Young, Brodie Croyle, etc

There are a lot more QBs who dont run dogfighting rings...there are also a lot more RBs, WRs, TEs, OGs, OTs, DTs, LBs, DEs, CBs, FSs, SSs, Ks, Ps, who dont run dogfighting rings

If he had lied to the government, I expect that the government would disregard his status as an NFL icon in his sentencing.

This hasn't been about dogfighting for a while now. Vick lied to the government, did many other illegal things within and across state lines, and partook in unsanctioned gambling; all of which was aided by attempts to keep covert, such as setting up a hack kennel operation and painting the sheds of that home black.

Right now the best thing he has going for him is strike #5 - the fact that he failed a drug test. If he goes to counseling and serves that term concurrently, he gets 12 months knocked off his 23-month sentence. That's over half his sentence gone right there, and there is the possibility that he will only serve 85 percent of his time (federal minimum) which puts down another month + ~20 days.

Add that to the other dumb shit he's done and you can see how he's basically writing his own ticket to a $35k/yr job in less than 10 years.
