there should be a way for a parent (usually the fathter) to 100% "give up" ALL rights and claims to a child

like with adoption

I mean, you wouldn't see a parent of an adopted child try to use the courts to get support money from the birth parents

so it is possible for parents to COMPLETELY AND PERMANENTLY give up all legal attachment to the child

and I think that if both parents consent to one of them doing something similar, the law should GUARANTEE it

if the parent that stays with the child suddenly needs money, it should be as though the other parent DOESN'T EXIST

social services would still exist to step in should the parent not be able to take proper care....

Most of this stuff depends on the state. When a child is born, if the parents aren't married, then the guy does not have to sign anything stating he is the father unless he wants to. If he chooses not to, then before any child support is figured out, a DNA test has to prove he is the father.

You can sign over your rights, but I am pretty sure that it has to be a mutual consent thing, meaning, you can't just choose to sign over your rights without the mother being okay with. After the rights are signed over, the parent that gains all rights can not later change his or her mind, but I think that there is a chance the parent that signed over the rights can, but it's hard.

how long do you have to get an abortion after you find out you are preggers? 250 isnt "a lot" of money, but unless i found out on payday(get paid once a month)...it would take a few weeks for me to get that kinda money...unless i did the short term emergency loan thing at ncsu...but other than that either i would have to sell shit or ask people for money....although i cant see it being that hard to be like "mom i got some bitch pregnant, can i borrow the money for an abortion"...pretty sure she'd be willing to give me the money then
