I myself am in no way a responsible adult, therefore I do not own a gun.

Maybe not. Some SOF medics put out a report saying that guys were dying from 2x 9mm quicker than 1x .45 and the low recoil of the 9mm allowed for quicker follow up shots. Whatever, this debate could go on forever.

i vote for a mid sized or compact gun, not a sub compact. If you need a 'pocket' gun get an XD-9 in the 3 inch and use the 10 round stubby mags, or use the 16 round ones with the grip extender for belt carry. They stop something a hell of a lot better than a crappy 32 does.

But in my experience Beretta Customer Service is poor, and that's putting it kindly. The NAA Guardian was actually a very good pistol. It was too heavy, for me, for daily carry, and for some reason I felt the need for a fingertip mag extension, which just made it a bit more difficult to cc.. NAA Customer Service was excellent. The KelTec, was also a very good pistol.. Very light. And in fact my P32 never missed a lick.. But I was so terrified by the posts on the two KelTec forums that I never grew to trust it. I kept waiting for it to fail in some way. It looks cheap, it is inexpensive to purchase, and lots of folks love 'em.. But I just never felt confident in it's future reliability. Yep, my problem, but if perception is reality, then my perception that it wasn't trustworthy was scary enough for me to feel uncomfortable using it for personal defense cc.. I've never needed it, but I hear KelTec Customer Service is excellent. As an example of how pleased I am with my Seecamp LWS32, I still have both my Guardian and my Keltec. IF somehow my LWS32 came up missing, I would sell BOTH of those pistols, and pay extra if need be just to buy another Seecamp. When I put my LWS32 in my back pocket it brings a smile to my face.. I trust it without reservation.. I've never had that feeling about the other pistols.. Peace of mind.. Priceless.. Then I bought a Seecamp on a whim, and I was amazed at it's tiny size, absolute quality, and even tho it DID burp three times when I first shot it (2 old silvertips/1 Q4355) after that it never missed a beat. And what's so funny is that I trust it absolutely. I bought a nice wallet holster for it, and now it just stays in the key drawer, and every time I pick up my car keys and wallet I pick up the Seecamp and it makes the trip with me.... I honestly don't think there is a better cc pistol in the world, in the mousegun nitch, than the LWS32. I think because of my ADVANCED age (almost 65) the LWS32 is the perfect caliber for my needs.. Less recoil and greater potential for accuracy.. My LWS32 (and JoAnn's) seem to love Gold Dots, so that's what we have in both of them. I think probably the LWS380 is just about the largest caliber you can have in a pistol the size of a Seecamp. And, If I were a young fart, and particularly if I were in the law enforcement field thats the model I would be carrying... Recoil be dam.... uh, darned.. I love my Seecamp.. I carry it daily, and if I am going someplace where I can carry a larger weapon I STILL carry my Seecamp. Whether it be my only carry weapon, or a backup to my larger cc weapon it does make the trip. I'm glad the production of Seecamps is so limited.. I can't afford the very best of many things, but I could afford a Seecamp, and imo it IS the very best mousegun in the universe. I'm glad that Larry Seecamp runs his Seecamp business in the manner that many people did in years past, but very few do today.. Integrity in business is not that easy to find in this day and age. When you DO find it, it's so unusual you are amazed. I've been amazed since the first time I held my Seecamp. I think as Seecamp owners we have stumbled on something unique in Seecamp firearms, and the folks who make them, and that's very special, and rare..... JMOFO Jesse"
