I must have been dead for a while, this is the first time I've heard of ICO. Im gonna have to try it.

Depending on the person... I'd recommend either FF7, Portal, or Katamari Damacy

these people are just trying to sound like game snobs throwing out names like Ico and Beyond Good & Evil

neither are two that I would recommend to say an alien that just landed on earth and wanted to play the quintessential videogame

I'm wrong if you were trying to recommend a game that not many people have played

Ico would be a great example - I'd have to go with Dark Cloud 2 though - that game was like crack to me

Shadow of the Colossus - the greatest game of the previous console generation, IMO. Definitely in my all-time top 10.

Viva Pinata.

I'm a world of warcraft girl, but because of the time sink involved, I'd say probably Golden eye. Great game, not *too* hard (its not one of those where if you arn't a master you can't even get around).

It actually is really fun (although kinda gay). The trick is the more you do the more happens and to always ask the dude for seeds (he gives you all your new ones). It helps if you look up a couple animals you want to "attract" cause when you are trying to get those requirements a couple others will probably show up.

This thread is so full of shitty recommendations.

So you're telling me that if you had to recommend only one game to a person who has never played any video games...these are the best games that you would pick?

Jesus.

^ I've never played that one.

Seriously though, it's Shadow of the Colossus or Tecmo Super Bowl. Take your pick.

Super Tecmo Bowl for NES.

Tecmo Bowl was great as well, but the 1 out of 4 probability that someone called your play was frustrating as hell.

Advance Wars

Seriously, that game was the only GBA game I ever needed. Perfect for road trips or anywhere. I still love playing it, so much strategy and fun.

Good luck finding ICO anywhere, I've kept an eye out for it ever since I played Shadow of the Colossus and haven't had any luck.

I'd like to recommend any of the recent Prince of Persia games. Great fun.
