anyone who agrees with this thread (as i do) i hope you realize you are probably a libertarian.
Most people don't know what one is... and if they did they would probably be one.

I just wanted to kick that out there the party isn't nearly as big as it should be because people think they're just a bunch of "dope smokin hippies" that want to legalize drugs when really they just don't believe in victimless crimes for example selling/buying drugs and the many other laws protecting people from themselves.

sure i only use <5% of the interstate system so i should just pay for that but what about the indirect benefit that the interstate system has with its capacity for easy transportation of goods and services on my life and the stability of the country

You answered your own question. Seat belts are mandatory since use of them does increase the chance for survival / less significant injury in accidents.

the interstate system isnt good or evil, it is just a service that eisenhower thought would be a good idea that fundamentally changed american culture

what about people that cant help themselves? do you just tell them too bad?

No they have friends and family that can help them. If they don't have either one of those then they should have been more sociable in life. If i got everything taken away from me right now i could easily get a decent paying job and apartment within a month. My friends/family would be willing to support me for a small amount of time as long as i tried to get back on my feet.

Yes i do feel sorry for people who truly can't get out of bad situations when they try, but to many people abuse the system so i think it needs to be cut out.
