no it's not, you can recruit someone but not sign them -- jaybee is right about that

but they didn't recruit anyone for this year because they would not be able to sign them

what was said was that they based their high expectation on State getting JJ, and I simply said that other teams also get good players from time to time too.. if anything UNC not having any scholarships left proves my point even more, they were already loaded and thus deserved their high ranking

thats completely wrong, USC started recruiting a 14 year old this year

If you recruit someone, you've formally signed them. look it up if you're that ignorant.

i never said other schools didn't recruit

hickson was a HUGE recruit though, only duke added better talent this season

--

goddammit eleusis

to recruit someone means to contact them, to follow them around the country, and attempt to sign them

every school recruits several players but only signs a few

every player is recruited by several schools but only signed by one

^^ so rivals.com's recruiting section ONLY deals with players that are already signed? And all the recruiting experts just talk about players once they have signed with a college?

the "recruiting trail" must be the trip coaches make to sign players

well hell everyone, I am officially a recruiting expert! I have a 99% track record of naming which schools players go to after they already go to the school!

"DraftExpress: There have been a lot of conflicting reports as to what your actual list of prospective schools is. Can you set the record straight and tell me what schools you are considering?

Mayo: As far as right now, we’re totally open to whoever. I would like to be recruited by everyone and make a good choice for me and my family. Right now I’m open. We’ll put out an official list probably going into my senior year.
"

OJ Mayo wanted to be signed by everyone.

"He would have been the most highly recruited player in the country had he stayed his senior season. Texas, Miami and Michigan were among the many schools already lined up to make him offers. But Booty shocked everyone by leaving before his final season to sign with USC."

Iowa won the Big Ten that year and we lost by a whole 2 points at their place. Try again.

I don't care if Iowa did win the Big Ten, that game was complete shit.

Both schools should have been embarrassed.

^^^^ the only saving grace about the Presbyterian game compared to Iowa/St Johns is that we won this one... the caliber of play/game preperation was FAR FAR worse in the PC game than any game against a BCS (power 6 or what ever have you) team...

Ok, I'll eat some of the crow thinking we could win the acc but if i knew we would lose our only decent pg before acc play even started i would have picked us 5th.
