I don't even know where to begin.

Coming to America is fucking hilarious

If you hadn't seen Star Wars, I'll assume you haven't seen the rest of the IMDB Top 10:

Schindler's List
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Seven Samurai
Pulp Fiction
The Godfather Parts I & II
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Casablanca

I'll add Breakfast at Tiffany's and North by Northwest.

And a million other, fuck.

I have seen Schindler's List; I've read One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.

you people are some movie-watching fools. Goddamn.

i was on the assumption that she wanted more nostalgic "omg you havent seen that movie!?" type movies.

hence why ghostbusters was the reason she created this thread and not something more serious or critically acclaimed

Excellent recommendations. As are anything with Indiana Jones.

More:
Dazed and Confused
Dances With Wolves
The Big Lebowski . . . but you have to be willing to watch it more than once.

Just because One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is critically acclaimed doesn't mean it's not hilarious and beautiful or I don't feel bad for people who haven't seen it.

Young Frankenstein
The Producers (1968)
Life of Brian
Duck Soup
Some Like it Hot
The Odd Couple
Clueless

I just went up to NYC and went around and visited the various places in Ghostbusters! (my favorite movie of all time.)

I saw their firehouse, the building where Dana lived, the church Stay-Puft stepped on, etc.

I also (by accident) visited Will Smith's I am Legend house. (in washington square)

Pretty in Pink, not because I like it all that much, but because Hughes had the integrity not to sell out the ending.

hahaha

I was telling zorthage how that'd be cool to do

Seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off <3
Caddyshack, too. Loved that.
I think we watched Animal House ♥ that same day, too

I don't like watching movies or TV. I'd rather read.

I hate what I have seen of Spaceballs. I quit watching. Ditto to The Matrix.
I've seen Edward Scissorhands, but it was so long ago I don't remember a goddamn thing.
I think I've seen at least part of Gremlins, but I don't know if I've seen it all the way through.

Any one of many old horror movies
Airplane and/or Airplane 2: The Sequel
Terminator 1 and 2 (3 if you feel like it)

Newer classics:

Ocean's Eleven (and Twelve and Thirteen if you really want to)
Happy Gilmore
