I'd love too but every now and then people turn around and kick ass by the end of the semester so i give everybody the benefit of the doubt.... when they start failing quizzes i tend to give up
<me> "this will be on the quiz next week" .....<them> "dude how do i figure out whats on the quiz for next week?" 1/17/2008 1:18:41 AM |

This is bullshit.
Last year when we actually had snow, they didn't cancel even though Meredith and St. Aug's as well as high schools did, this year they delay for no damn reason? Last year I had to walk from Tucker to Poe at 8AM, this year my first class is at 11:45, but I had to be on campus at 6AM anyway.
Bullshit, I'd rather have two inches of snow and no cancellation that a to hour delay for some cold rain. 1/17/2008 6:33:17 AM |

^Because I still had to be at work at 6AM (for housing), and they didn't close or delay at all last year either.
Hence, I call bullshit. 1/17/2008 6:40:57 AM |

well maybe your teacher teaches an early section of those classes, and it will slow down them; so maybe you guys will get it easy. 1/17/2008 6:53:23 AM |

I never said it was a bad job...I'm just bitching about the delay, and how one would have been appreciated last year when people were making snowmen on Tucker beach. 1/17/2008 7:06:05 AM |

In all 6 years I went to this f'n piece of crap school, never ONCE did they pull the trigger so early on such a lame event. Absolutely pathetic. 1/17/2008 7:24:53 AM |

yeah thats what i dont get about it...i can understand them delaying because it may be wintry mix...but i mean it was like fucking 6pm
of course i'm not saying they should do it at 2am the day of, cause that would suck for those that were sleeping for their 8am...but i mean 6pm???? i'd say between the hours of 9-11pm or something

^^Really. The only time it ever closed was that one year (2000?) where it snowed 2 feet and even then they were open for business well before the roads were in a semi-drivable condition.
I guess in the past the people that decided whether or not the university closed or operated on a delay just wanted people to die trying to get to class. Now they set up pamper changing booths for the students that soil themselves. 1/17/2008 7:58:55 AM |

yeah i was there when classes were canceled for that huge snowstorm in 2000. (it was great because it started on my birthday.) that was the only time I remember them canceling class. They didn't even cancel class for hurricane floyd. 1/17/2008 8:41:40 AM |
