I think the hip check was the biggest disgrace in officiating I saw in this game. Ginyard in no way went for the ball for it to be called incidental contact.

duke game...they show the paulus/reid confrontation...and say "technical on reid, nothing on paulus".

classic right there. that was actually a legit play where paulus happened to have some contact as opposed to a blatent hip check that isn't mentioned at all.

To be fair, Hansbrough's face was bleeding in 3 places - none of the incidents causing the injuries were whistled. It was poorly called on both ends. There needs to be more ref accountability in the ACC period. That said, personal school affiliation aside, GT outplayed UNC tonight.. but I honestly don't truly believe that officiating ultimately determined that final score
