hopefully paulus gets most of the minutes because javi can handle him. i think fells and grant can hold henderson and nelson and we will certainly handle singler. It comes down to scheyer and maybe king and not letting them get looks. can't leave anybody open. can't turn the ball over more than 20 times. spread the floor, pound it in, be able to kick it out if double tripple comes and hit the open 3. Hickson can't do that very well so hopefully ben is on.

hgtran is a unc fan, so he probably shouldn't be the one calling out duke fans

Duke is really good at putting constant pressure on guards and causing turnovers.. this, combined with the fact that it's Javi and Marques' first game at Cameron makes me think that the game will not be that close. Taylor King and Jon Scheyer will probably get a lot of minutes.. Duke will shoot a lot of 3s in this game

oh and Mr. Scrumples, in another thread you called me a "dick" for suggesting that Demarcus Nelson was Duke's best player. still wanna argue that after the Maryland game?

who did he think was dukes best player? i guess you could argue henderson is more talented singler has more potential but nobody is really better. scheyer is just a shooter. paulus just finds a way to be good somehow. smith will probably end up being all acc. henderson will prolly leave early. king will be a rich mans melchioni poor mans jj when its all said and done.

A team loaded with 3-shooters going against our defense = loss.

This game could be ugly. Only way for us to be in the game is use our size and dominant the paint and hopefully Scheyer doesn't go off on us like last year and like Melchionni/Redick used to as well.

I'm in the first row behind the crazies, half court. I've never liked Duke unless they were playing UNC but there's nothing like seeing a game in Cameron. Winning this game while i'm there and hearing that place silent will make my year.

- Don't wait for them to hit 12 3-pointers before deciding to show on screens
- Don't help off of perimeter players. Gotta trust JJ, Fells, McCauley, and Grant to clean up penetration with size.
- Don't let the ball handler pass to a shooter such that they catch it in rhythm. Even though we haven't shown it all year, we have to use our length to get deflections and alter passes.

I guess I meant in the VT game alone. It seems like if Washington was picking on say Singler, it would've mattered more in the outcome.

Anyway my whole point was I thought Washington did a really good job of putting Nelson on some serious tilt. I don't understand why yall are so down on Washington for doing things like this when a) we all enjoyed Hansbrough's nose bleeding last year and that was dirty as fuck, and b) Washington's attitude last year was a good reason why VT swept Carolina. The press said something about his attitude being "I'm not gonna let a bunch of freshman beat me at the game." Dirty or not, gangster or whatever, you gotta envy that if it's what it takes to beat teams like UNC...

Other than Hickson, we match up poorly with Duke and are going to get smoked. I bet we have at least 20 turnovers and will be down double digits by halftime.

Our only hope is that Costner does not play, McCauley/Hickson dominate inside, we shoot the 3 really well and Duke shoots the 3 really bad. Plus we need to rebound.

Would you prefer to lose this game if it meant UNC winning the ACC if we won? That is, if Duke only loses to us and then UNC once and they tie and UNC wins the ACC, would you prefer that we just lost this game?
